MatBirch
I was wondering what you Magna guys have done with/about the little "V" or "U" shaped cover between the #1 and #2 ports on the head? The magna "replaces" the little cover that was on my car, but I my new gasket is of course shaped like the US manifold. It looks like I could cut the section out, and use the stock coverplate, but I didn't want to go into it blindly. Thanks a bunch- --MatB
eeaston
I think just about everyone cuts a little patch gasket to seal off the oil port. That's what I did and haven't had any problems. Much easier than cutting the flange.
pinale69
I used one of the other gaskets that came with the magna and took the old cover and traced it out, then made one of the bold holes. I used some rtv on it to stick it the head while I installed everything else and it made a good seal. not leaks or any problems since
