need help with tolerances on my MPI

Recommended Posts

I am trying to run my own MPI set up with the stock intake manifold but what i was wondering (since my block is out of the engine) how much room is under the intake manifold? i am thinking about running my fuelrail and injectors on the underside of the manifold.

thanks in advance

Kevin

you could do something like mine and run the fuel rail on the side but whatever design you go with, fuel leaks will be hard to detect.

well i hope my set up will fit, i will not get my block back until monday so i have no idea on how much room i have around there.

James R...do you think yo ucould check for me and see if there would be enough room? granted taht this is being fabricated by a friend of mine i have alot of room to play with when it comes to the blueprinting of this set up, but i do wnat to get as close to the block as i can with the injectors

Thanks

Kevin

In second thought, I don't think you'll have enough room for 1 thru 3 intake ports.  If you keep AC there is no room for cylinder #1 due to bracket and 2 & 3 the balance shaft area is to tight.
