1987 Chrysler conquest tsi slight acceleration “boost leak”

Recommended Posts

Having some issues where my starquest, almost acts as if there’s a boost leak if I slightly press on the gas pedal, if I bump it it’ll rev just fine. I know the idle is off as well. The timing has been set exactly where it should be. I’m also assuming my idle air control valve (the thing that’s 500$+ to buy) is going bad but that’s just idle. The car runs overly rich. I’ve cleaned out my injectors and can see them mist when I take off my OVP into my throttle body. Injectors were also taken out and cleaned and are in good condition the connectors do work as well. I’ve replaced my spark plugs with BPR7ES’s have them all gapped at 0.035 new wires new cap and rotor. Can the vacuum advance be causing this early on “boost leak” type of issue. Oh and I have been boost leak testing it, made my own adapter pipe to fit over the MAF inlet pipe, no boost leaks she holds.
replaced my 02 sensor and my ignition temperature sensor. I’ve also removed practically all smog from the vehicle and have capped all open vacuum ports that were removed. Pretty much only vacuum line from the throttle body is the closest one to the front of the engine and going to the distributor vacuum advance. I have a new 1G DSM maf on the way along with an 88-89 ecu to swap the internal in my 87 ecu. I’m trying to just get this running relatively reliably stock not going for power right now. I am a complete noob to this and I’m just trying to revitalize her as on a budget as possible sadly.
Still deciding on weather or not to keep the stock motor or do a 4G63T swap.

video of the car and the exact issue I’m asking about. Again not the idle. I know why that’s running like that. Don’t know why it sounds like it’s cammed, I did go from top dead center and timed it properly not by ear but with a light

That sounds like it's not running on all cylinders. What do the plugs look like? When you set the timing did you have the vacuum advance disconnected? Said you replaced the "ignition temp sensor" I don't know what you are referencing there.
