Engine not starting

Recommended Posts

1987 Conquest TSi - I have spark and fuel but sill no start. I also have wires by the injectors are hot to the touch when trying to start. Bad ground somewhere? Anyone have any ideas or can help?

Verified fuel is getting to the injectors. Knock box seems fine. What else should I check?

Which wires specifically are getting hot by the TB? How are your fusible links?

The one that originally is hooked up to a 12 mm bolt under the vacuum ports.

3 of the 4 fusible links are good, one is blown out. I believe it’s the heater link not the ECI or ignition links.

The wire that hooks up to the 12mm on the EGR mount is a ground. So you might have a grounding issue. Go over all your grounding points.  I would replace that fusible link too just as a precaution and report back.
