Scoobysruvenge
Time to fit the pump back up and see how it was going fit up. I want to use two straps. You can also see if you look at the hoses the 90 degree hose will have to be extended a few inches so it comes up in the right location. Scoobysruvenge
I still have a lot of work to do to get the tank ready. The list includes: Lengthen the pressure hose. Replace all the factory rubber hose. Finish up the filter brackets & fittament. Locate and install a fuel sending unit. Purchase and install in tank filter. Prime coat top of tank once more. Wash under tank the under coat very good. Spray over under coat with rhino liner.
Scoobysruvenge
I could go on the cheap here but clean and steady fuel is worth the extra cost and preservation

Scoobysruvenge
TlI put the tank back in its current test location and found some interference with the rear tow hook. I could live with it but while I have the tank out I decided to relocate the filter a little lower and further back. Here is the original test location

Scoobysruvenge
The new location allows me better access to the fuel line fittings. Here is the new location. Less than an inch toward the rear of the car and about an inch lower. Below is a pic.

Scoobysruvenge
I measured for the second strap hole and drilled it, cut the corner of the bracket at a 45 to add some room for a wrench. The rough draft is now a legitimate bracket that fits correctly.

Scoobysruvenge
The bracket is now ready to have the bent seam welded up. A quick run through the the sandblaster and a couple of coats of paint and it should be ready for action.
