Outlaw525
Hey everyone my Name is Kyle Hill im 24 and am a CNC machinest/Programmer ,also I am one of speedy2222's roommates.(not sure if I should admit that or not...haha) anyway we happened on a sweet litte deal that couldnt be passed up Mitch needs a backup drivetrain for his car and I wanted to do a v8 swap into an uncommon car not the usual rx7 or something of that nature. I am looking to think outside the box on this build and not do the norm. as of now I am thinking I am going to power it with a 4.0L V8 32v out of a Oldsmobile Aurora (I use to own one and loved that motor) hooked to a yet to be desided 5 or 6 speed. hopefully going to end up feed by twin turbo's bare interior with only the stuff I really need. cage buckets ect.. currentally has a red interior and not sure what you would call the outside but im not a fan. So i am planing on ditching the interior for a black one and blacked out exterior as well! we will see what happens but that is what I am thinking for now. here are a few photos I took tonight http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/2007outlaw525/IMG_1243_zps264fc8f4.jpghttp://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/2007outlaw525/IMG_1242_zps01475f7b.jpghttp://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/2007outlaw525/IMG_1241_zps371a3f58.jpghttp://i638.photobucket.com/albums/uu110/2007outlaw525/IMG_1240_zpsd91a6d27.jpg
Speedy2222
Should be a sweet build. I think i'm just as excited for it as you are! Also if anyone needs some red/burgandy interior pieces let us know! seat belts are in great shape, we'll even trade for black pieces. taeisallin
The paint looks to be in great shape. A lot of sq'ers love that color. It's different and pretty rare. Good luck with the build. Tae
tankbob
Sounds like an awesome project, Id get the motor/interior done first then see if the exterior paint has grown on you at all, paint looks too good to repaint imo.
Outlaw525
Thanks guys. the paint is very good except for some rust issues on the front fenders. getting it rolling and functional is first on the list for sure it can be made pretty later! Yeah Its def not a common color... I personally think that shetland beige looks fantastic. But as long as its on the road and not in a junkyard, feel free to paint it pink with purple polka dots if you want! Haha. Welcome to SQC! PSiTSi
Maybe plasti-dip the whole car in black. It'd be cheaper and you could always remove it if you desired. Switching up the color every so often if you wanted to as well.
Outlaw525
ya color will be the last thing to go on anyway, so there is lots of time for thought. gotta get it running and rolling first before anything like that matters
