flatty86
Hey Guys, I have a question regarding my Flatty speedo vs the TSI... Both looks totally diffrent.. my speedometer worked sometimes, and was getting stuck, come to find out the plastic gear was full of metal from the failed transmission.... I cannot reuse it because i stripped the tread on the front taking it off.. Now my donor transmission already have a speedometer but it is much bigger then the flatty. My question is can I use the one from the TSI? anfd why does the TSI one have wires coming out? My flatty didnt have this.... TSI Speedo on the left in the tranny and the Flatty is on the right. Thanks for your input. Edited February 8, 2013 by flatty86
BuGG
Looks like the smaller one is for non-abs cars. The wires on the big one are for ABS. Usually the wires pull out or harden and break.
scott87star
Exactly, it was ABS, you can use it.
