The Rabbit1
has he ever got it smogged? there have been people that took their emmisions off and it passed smog just fine, otherwise it's gonna be hard to find the stuff your gonna need. Not impossible, but hard.

Guest
EGR VALVE,SECONDARY AIR CLEANER,BOTH CATS,ALL VACCUM HOSES HOOKED UP RIGHT... What he said. I'll add though, that one cat will do just fine as long as the EGR and charcoal canister are present. I've passed Cali smog with just one cat. Starfighterpilot
You do not need the secondary air cleaner either. I've been successfully passing GA smog for 17 years without it; with the main cat installed and a gutted pre cat. For What It's Worth. mistapickles
you'll need the oil separator also, not so much for the emissions aspect but to get oil flowing to the oil pan. your car will run like crap and destroy bearings without it. Starfighterpilot
but will he need the EGR? Yes if Delaware does a visual inspection for smog equipment. For What It's Worth. KEN
markhansenconquest
secondary air cleaner adds fresh air in cat to help un burned gas when letting off gas..IT opens a reed valve for fresh air to reduce H/carbons....
Starfighterpilot
secondary air cleaner adds fresh air in cat to help un burned gas when letting off gas..IT opens a reed valve for fresh air to reduce H/carbons.... It introduces air to the exhaust before the precat to help burn unburnt fuel when the engine is stone cold cuz the injector timing is in open loop. But it doesn't do jack to pass your emmissions test cuz the engine is at normal operating temp and the cat is hot during the smog test. It's not needed. For What It's Worth.
