03 eclipse gts (The Poisonous Skull)

my daily driver is a 03 eclipse gts with a 6g72 5spd.

this is how she looked when i first bought her.

i then installed megan racing headers and down pipe welded to a custom made exhaust system with a magnaflow high flow cat and muffler.

i always try to keep my engine bay clean.

last year was not a good year for my car though. i was in two accidents and destroyed my front bumper. now i run with a red front bumper.

and i also picked up some used motegi racing 17x8 rims wrapped in 225/45r17.

Those are good daily cars. with the manual 5speed they got some good amount of power to them. Sorry about the accidents though. Any near future plans for a paint job?

Are you using o2 simulators with those headers? How are they working out for ya'?

i have the stock o2s in it and they all throw codes. i am waiting for my mechanic to get a new program system to remap and he is going to delete the need for the o2 sensors. i dont plan on any paint or body work for a while. i want to get my suspension first, then i will work on engine, i.e. 3.8l crank, 272 cams, lighter fly, and sport pulleys and gears. after i am satisfied with that then i will save up and re do the whole car to the original paint. i have a dent on the driver rear fender and a bunch of little dents and dings all along the fenders. the total cost for body work and paint for my car is just around $2,400.

Too bad you're not in TX. I could bodywork and paint that whole thing for about $1500. At least get that bumper done until you can afford the rest. I bet you could find a body shop to do it for about $100.

on the matter of the red front bumper, i found a site that sells dealership colors in a spray can. its only $20 for the can and it will match the color. im going to buy a can in the next month or so. i have to fix my front end first. hit a pot hole last week and snapped my lower control arm.

I would suggest 2 cans, especially if you want more than 1 coat of paint (you'll want more than 1 coat)
