After being told many times to post pics-lol

I finally went out and snapped a few - She still needs a few things here and there but as she sits its just a shell and motor. It is street worthy with all the lights and things working but I pulled out all the rest - no need since its strictly a stop light 2 stop light have fun car.

I know I am probably going to get some flames seeing the body is in super good shape - I took a whole summer to do the body work to get it straight before hitting the paint booth. I will probably drive this until I can get my hands on a targa Supra who knows.

ANYWAY here is my link -

1jz complete swap Tiger from ebay

intercooler kit was also from ebay

driveshaft was from shaftmasters - Standard Supra shaft 1310's joints to the specific length - Redrill the conquest pinion flange to mate up with the Supra diff flange

Griff. radiator - Spal 3000 fan

power steering line - Driftmotion.com

had to make the crazy downpipe and turbo flange - was a real pita due to the motor mounts

beat the hell out of the tunnel to get the R154 tranny to fit- do yourself a favor and remove the metal skins inside the tunnel- I didnt and well I have popeye arms now- lol

It really wasn't that bad of a swap labor wise, but trying to figure out were to put some things and route this and that sucks--Word of caution- the thing will nickel and dime you to death.

All in All though the car is AMAZINGLY FAST and was well worth the time and $$ spent.

Let me know what you guys think-

Awesome swap! car looks good in that color too. Post a video if you can...would love to hear and see that thing chewing up the pavement.

May I suggest leaving the body nice and clean without the flames.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys need some suggestions,

This weekend was playing around with one of the neighbors- He has 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS running at 20+ psi- I think he said it has something like 260hp. I we are out and "not incriminating" hehe - I blow him away in the 1/4 easily - However when we going at say 55 and we both gun it I have to back down at ~110 due the the front end feeling unstable. I know that it is going to get light but nowhere like my other car. I think it has the stock struts on her still with aftermarket springs. With the 1jz I wonder if putting in new or aftermarket struts would help. Any Suggestions??

I left the sway bar off -

You still running stock struts?

I know it was a little windy and we were traveling north with open fields on either side but -- it still felt like poo.
