Well that'll be here before you know it. Time flies lol. And I hear you, trust me on that. Money is tight for most people I would say. Anyway though good things come in time. ;)

Yeah, just got it running only for the turbo to blow out. While idling. <_<

Aw no way man. .sorry to hear that.

Eh, I got my hands on a 12A. Not sure if its gonna run 7.5psi or 10psi, guess we'll find out. I get my boost controller Monday, so either way its going back to 14psi

Changed up the OP a bit, and long over due for an update. I haven't really done to much besides getting a GM MAF and translator installed. It's been down for quite awhile now so things are on standby. Anyway a shot of the MAF

:( after some time trying to diagnose and resolve this rich issue I've been having I had it towed to a local shop only to find out today they don't know what's wrong with it either. .

Yay and nay. I was wrong again swapped in the known good ecu and the problem returned. .Its still drivable thanks to the 87 ecu that I'm using but it's severely handicapped only boost to about 4lbs, back to the drawing board on this one. I was trying to figure out what the 87 doesn't have that the 86 does but no one has really given me an answer. Edited by StallionProject86

Is the knock box an 86 only? I didn't know that I haven't even messed with that. Do you know the symptoms of a bad one?

Nah, as far is I know the Ignitor box/knock box is in all of them. I do not, off the top of my head, know the symptoms of a bad one though.

Maybe some more knowledgeable member can chime in?

Hmm, I thought it was in all of them. I don't think it's an ignition problem though because I believe it would stay choppy with whatever ecu I put in it if that was the case, but it runs good with the 87 ecu aside from the boost issue. I'm thinking maybe the "pressure solenoid" is not functioning right. .I swapped it with the egr solenoid with three prongs because my stock one broke. .I thought others were running it that way as well but I'm not sure haven't gotten an answer to that either. That only leaves injectors or an injector that gave out on me. .even though I replaced them no more then 5 months ago.

You need to pull that 87 ecu STAT. 86s run sequential injection AKA both injectors are firing at the same time all the time. 87-89 run staged, where the primary is supplying the fuel until 2500 give or take and then the secondary helps out. the knock boc/ignitior is the black box next to the coil they go bad on the 87 and unders all the time. the 88-89 is metal as is way stronger

Yea I understand I'm just running it with the 87 because it actually runs with it. .I need to get to work so I could earn money to put back in the SQ lol. I really don't like running it the way it is but I've tried everything. .except for changing the knock box

can you tell me what it'll do with a bad knock box? And can I swap mine out with one from any year?If I do need to change it. .

If that's the case I don't see why it works with an 87 ecu and not the 86? When I have either one of the two 86 ecu's connected it idles extremely choppy pouring out black smoke and black liquid. Unburnt fuel I'm sure. It'll rev out but when it comes to idling it's not having it. Now with the 87 ecu those problems seem to vanish with the exception of not going in to boost like I've stated. So that 87 ecu is bypassing something to allow it to run but also being restricted at the same time. I just don't know the differences between the two besides the primary and secondary injectors. Does 87+ run the pressure solenoid? Even though I've replaced that twice it hasn't once been with the oem part just the similar egr one. Don't know if that works the same though?
