KY TSI
I was on my way back from my friends house about 30 minutes away, cruising about 70 on the highway when a nissan 350Z pulls up next to me so i revved it and he took the bate, i stayed in fifth until about 100 then threw it into fourth and left him like he was standing still, never saw him again. Technology
4th will go 130 if you rev past 6500
Ron Burgandy
4th will go 130 if you rev past 6500 Speaking from experience tech? And it sounds harmful to the motor what's the rpm redzone for the g54?
Earl
about 5500=D lol
Technology
Depends on if you actually make enough power for high rpm to be worthwhile. After I changed to the 292 cam, the powerband was widened enough so I could actually use higher rpm. With the undegreed 274, it fell off fast after about 5500. But yeah, my rev limiter is 6500 and my speedo said something around 125-130 when I hit the limiter, heh. Mustang guy next to me said 130, but he had gears, so who knows if his speedo was right. Ron Burgandy
Daaaaauuuummmm!! Hhaha that's crazy and u still had another gear! Lol
Technology
Not really. I smoked the bearings in another tranny by doing a 5th gear pull. After I let off, it was whining and made all kinds of gear noises. No 5th gear pulls, just cruising. It's the "mileage" gear. MetalRob
I was shocked at how slow these cars & the G35s were in stock form when I ran a few of them with my old Mazdaspeed 3 with only a Cobb AP stock 93 tune. I gave two of them a one car lead & still put about 3 car lengths on them. My car wasn't the quickest but I figured it would be at least a dead even run. Cloud81918
350z are decently fast, but nothing crazy. Still neat to hear of a roughly 20 year older, spiritually related car put some distance on one. I pulled one in my Lotus once and ran into the guy a year of so later, he said it was cool to see an older car like that being really driven. He had never seen one in person and he liked being able to run one.
