Indiana Posted July 22, 2010 Report Share Posted July 22, 2010 It must be the one for electronic ignition, there are two and they look the same so read the labeling. Stock there were two wires on each side: (+) Black wire w/white stripe from your harness, this is the power wire from the ignition switch. There's a noise filter, its a black tiny thing about 1" square and it has two wires from it, one is blue and this goes to the coil and the other end has a plug on it. It plugs in to a short pigtail that is bolted under one of the EGR valve mounting bolts. This item is not necessary but you may leave it connected for its benefits. (-) Blue wire w/white stripe from your harness, this is the tach signal back to the ECU. There is a resistor with two wires from it, one is black and it goes to the coil and the other is white with a plug on the end. That plugs to a wire in your harness and its the tach signal for the instrument cluster and this is necessary. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
