Bmore410_TSI
I got a set of nice polished stock rims with 255's and everytime I hit a bump to fat they rub.I need a new set of struts but can't afford them now. What is the best type of space to use in the spring to prevent the rubbing.I got this hard foam set from SALVO auto parts. Will this stay put if I am able to get them in?
Killtodie
stick a baseball bat in there and curle the lip in some. Or get a fender flare device and do it that way. http://www.chipmagic.biz/Fender_Flare_Device.gif
conquest707
id first see exactly where they are rubbing, if its the fender lip, roll em. do you have shp's? a 255 on a 8" rim is crazy. Edited June 4, 2010 by conquest707
VICE
I couldn't find ANYBODY that has one of those flaring tools! I did it my own way wit a dremmel and rubber mallet.. Just installed my new suspension recently.. I got SHP's and 255's in the rear, Eibach springs, Mookeeh Struts and Gas shocks and Polyurethane Bushing kit, thicker sway bars and I also replaced wheel bearings and cv axles too, drilled and slotted brake rotors, well here's how the rear fenders look for now until I get some body work/paint job but their flared up all the way for some nice clearance.. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_hllfg0A_1bY/TAmg-TaTHWI/AAAAAAAABsI/kgfy8XRSzzo/s800/GEDC1498.JPG Edited June 5, 2010 by VICE
