JAinsworth
Take the side panel off so you can access the antenna. Reach up under the bottom and you should find the connector about 6 inches or so from the bottom of the oem ant. Unplug it there and plug the replacement in.Jimmy

JAinsworth
Where did you put the antenna? Make sure you pushed the connector all the way in.Jimmy
bmreyna
The Reciever is located Basically almost behind my Rear View Mirror, Its Grounded, but has a red wire in which i have no idea where it goes. IM absolutely positive that i pushed it in all the way
JAinsworth
I'm not familiar with that antenna but a red wire normally means it is a power wire.Jimmy
mikec
What happens if you unplug the antenna - leave NOTHING connected to the round coax cable connector in the hatch area? Is the reception any worse - i.e. do you loose that one station or does it get weaker? If no: your antennas (new and old) weren't working because the wire from the rear of the car to the stereo is busted, disconnected someplace, or crushed & shorted out. Perhaps it's just not plugged into the back of the stereo properly. Pop the carpet panel off the stereo console on the passenger side (two screws) and eyeball the back of the stereo with a flashlight... you might be able to see the antenna input. It's about half-way up the back of the stereo, an inch or two from the passenger side of the stereo. mike c.
bmreyna
Mike - Please Refer to the pics i posted in the previous post. Might you happen to have a picture of where the coax is located in the hatch?
