rear end fluid

There is a topic somewhere here about what is the best and some discussion about using AT fluid....the most important thing is GL-4...i wouldn't use GL-5 or you might have issues changing gears. Just use oem specs of what weight to use. While you are at it you might as well change the tranny fluid since it's the same if you have manual...but 1gal an you will have enough to do both. My friend works at Jiffylube and changed the tranny fluid for $60 and 60$ for the rear. If you decide to change it your self make sure the car is level and just fill to the hole...I was too lazy to get under my car and do it. good luck.

Don't use ATF in the rear-end. I would recommend the royal purple for both.

In the rear diff. put a container of lsd additive in first.

Manual tranny is 2.4 quarts

Rear differential is 2.7 pints

I dont even know what the oem specs are. I cant find any "owners manual" type info on these cars. I know alot of cars with a LSD need a fluid with a posi additive, otherwise you will be doing one wheel wonders in no time.

You can find the FSM at: http://www.starquestgarage.com/manuals/service/conquest/1988/88_conquest_service_nav.html
