Couldn't find anything on this so I was just wondering. Has anybody has used the stock 5spd trans when swapping motors seems like it would keep the cost down. I'm just not sure it would work and before you mention HP output. I will say that the engine going in is a Chevy 4.3 V6 rated at 200HP. Does anyone know of someone who might make an adapter plate and flywheel for this engine.

Got a dilemma so I am going to ask for some input here. I was looking at getting a new project Quest as a replacement for the one the ex took. I have 2 options: 1) 87 Quest red,no engine, trans and hit left front w/bent frame all cosmetics to fix included clear title last tagged 15 yrs ago 2) 88 Quest yellow, blown engine but no title last tagged 4 yrs ago Like to have both but that isn't happening so which do you guys think would be the best option, the car is for an engine swap so either way the engine condition doesn't matter

Lepore man if you don,t mind me asking waht was the problem with the Sy/Ty 4.3 motor? Just a bad motor or problems with the swap? Thinking of the 4.3 swap myself as I already got the motor but may reconsider.

Advance Adapters has plates to adapt most any trans to any engine. Just look them up and ask for a catalog to browse at your leisure or check out their web-site.

You can get a front sump pan, pump & pickup tube for the newer one piece rear mains from Chevy II only. It,s a company that specializes in replacement parts for the Chevy II. You may be able to use the oil pan made for 4x4 S10 swaps as it has a narrower sump to accomodate the front axle on those trucks which may clear the steering linkange on the Quest.

I am in need of the Strut rod braces for a 87 TSI model. They are the parts that bolt to the frame for the lower control arm strut rods to pass through. If anybody has a set contact me @ gravestarr44@sbcglobal.net I am trying to get my Quest back on the road and am looking for these missing parts.

Looking for the brackets that the lower control arm( strut rods?) mount to at the front of the car. I believe that is what they are called.

Got me 87 Quest Widebody with no motor or trans and am thinking of doing a motor swap. Figured I could get some opinions on the 2 engines I have available. #1: 92 model Turbo 4.3 out of a Typhoon runs and has wiring and ECM is full and complete. #2: 94 model 5.7 LT1 out of a Camaro Is already set up for stand alone compatibility with reprogrammed ECM. Both engines are rated at 285HP but the LT1 has all its Torque available at 2000RPM up to the 5000 RPM limit. The Ty motor is rated at 170 w/o boost lower on the torque rating also but would possibly get better mileage when not under boost. Just looking to give my quest a little shot of HP but with the reliability of a factory engine. Feel free to make comments or suggestions.

Have a 86 Conquest TSI that I need to get rid of. Mainly it is just a shell. No engine, trans, wheels,Steering Box,front clip, front seats Pedals & center console. Front windshield is cracked all other glass is good. Body is decent has a sunroof. Still has front suspension and rear end. Will take any resonable offers car is located in Orlando Oklahoma. Email me with offers or for any questions you might have. Will sell parts if I have what you want but mainly need to get it gone and I hate to see it go to the crusher if someone can use it.
