Looks real clean, I'd give him $2k for it if it ran good. There's a number in the add, call him up if your that interested and see what he has to say. grazel3793 Posted May 28, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 28, 2009 i spoke to the guy who owns the car...seems like a pretty nice guy...says the injector leaks from the oring and it has an exhaust leak around the turbo....car looks to be in good shape from the pics....im considering it...but i hate sight unseen its always a surprise when you get it...but never a good surprise... I have alot of interested people in this thing. If you would pay instantly I would possibly knock the price down to $3,500. Thats $200 and if you call I have another way that could save you another $200. I threw in a bid of 1800 and ended up getting it for 1525. Car is overall decent but needs about 1,000 in body work and a paint job along with the injector rebuild and exhaust manifold. I ran a Carfax and ther is no accident history and the miles all jive in sequence. Long story short I flew in from Minnesota and drove the car back 700 miles without any problems. I knew the exhaust manifold was leaking but just found out all the bolts were stripped and 2 out of the 4 bolts were missing, must have fallen out on the way home as I looked at the manifold before driving away and they were there! I hate when hacks get ahold of stuff. Also the turbo is shot which explains no power. All and all a decent platform to start with as it's not all rusted out. I have a *DM 3" exhaust thats been sittin here waiting so will do that and swap out the turbo from my parts car and probably the head too....I am in Monticello. This thing is going to take some time but once she's all beautiful will post some pics.
