mstieg Posted August 5, 2006 Report Share Posted August 5, 2006 I'm just curious if anybody has redone those plastic sidewalls to include or replace a speaker enclosure in that space. Granted it couldn't be completely perminant as you might need to get to those rear struts sometime. I have two 12" subs in a huge MTX box that's too long to fit between the stock wheel wells, and too tall to clost the glass if I push it back. I've pondered building a custom box but never had the time to bother. I know there's many a boxes out there on or replacing the rear seats. I'm looking to keep it all in the trunk behind the rear seats & possibly keep the top carpet cover in place and working. hmmm. cashsaudio Posted August 5, 2006 Report Share Posted August 5, 2006 Hi I have two Pioneer TS-W5000SPL subs (70lbs each) and stand about 12 inch tall. I haven't takin any pics of it yet but I have fitted it between the struts housing and kept all the interior of the back in. I slanted the back of the box exactly like the back set to give it a perfect fit. I put two angles in to go around the strut housing to make up more Cu. ft for the subs and now its a perfect fit and have about 1.5ft of room from front of the box to the back of the hatch which my amp sits there. Big amp also. Sounds really good. Just need one more 5000watt amp, about 100farad cap and probably at least a 250amp alt. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
