MikeMeyerhoff
In the Injector FAQ post Indiana identifies the H as being 84/85 and J as being 85/85.5/86 and that H and J can be swapped. __________The 86 FSM has a note saying that H is for non-intercooled cars and J is for intercooled cars. There must be a difference between H and J or Mitsubishi would have only used one part #, does anybody know exactly what the difference is? Metric-man
Mitsubishi will swear it doesn't have duplicate part numbers, (Same part two different numbers)but from my experience, working at one of there dealership parts counters, it has occurred. There is also another relevant explanation, that in Mitsubishi's reasearch and development of their TBI system in conjunction with Mikuni and Bosch...1986 Established J/V company, (Nippon Injector Corporation) jointly with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Robert Bosch GmbH of Germany. ...there were several different ECU injector pairings between 85 through 87 and that to be certain of your particular injector's capability you should have it bench tested.http://www.boschindia.com/content/language1/img_productworlds/FItestbenchi_copy.jpg Edited January 26, 2011 by Metric-man
