Dodge2004srt4
So I know Im not the first to fix this or hate the setup for the lighting on the cluster shroud.First pic is typical lightingSecond pic is modified lighting. Now I guess I would have to remove the green coating on the back to change the color to blue or white....not totally sure but the blue LED's I put in were not visible at all in any color. Enjoy.

Dodge2004srt4
Yeah I dont believe in using any film unless what you want to change is LCD or VFD. Built motor so I guess its a high volume oil pump....and its 5W30 oil in it, would be higher with the regular thick stuff. The LED's I used are the 4 pack from Advance Auto parts. I didnt feel like paying shipping on the singe SMD LED's I get from my normal source.I just did this to see what it would look like but Im thinking of changing to what every other car Ive ever had has had......blue dash and switches.Im going to start making switches blue first and moving on to the cluster last. I have yet to take the HVAC controls out so I dont know what Im getting into there, but Ill make it happen one day. The dim side pic is how it still is, I only invested in a single 4 pack and I need 2 more strings. Least I can see the headlamp switches now!! D_Venable
unfortunately you can't change the color of them just by putting in a different color LED, you'll need to make a new faceplate for the illuminated piece. And the great thing about using the film is your able to tune the color to your exact liking, and then you only need to use 1 type of LED for everything (these are CREE P4 white) Here's a few pics of what I did, note the white paint marker was used to make the black more opaque, as the printed labels weren't opaque enough. http://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9050293.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9050291.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9050296.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9050295.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9050299.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060305.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060321.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060322.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060324.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060315.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9030226.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9030228.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060317.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060318.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060327.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060319.jpghttp://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9060320.jpg Edited January 13, 2011 by D_Venable

D_Venable
I dont care if they are orange in daylight, cant you just scrape off the backing to allow the blue to come through? The green coating..... the orange is on the front, with the green and the black, so scraping would need to be pretty precise

You have 5mb allocated. You have probably used up most of it with 35k or so remaining. You're gonna need to go to a free image hosting site, like photobucket, flickr, or imageshack. -Robert
Dodge2004srt4
the orange is on the front, with the green and the black, so scraping would need to be pretty preciseAll the green I see is on the back of the faces. Least it was on the headlamp switches....the 3 to either side of the cluster.
D_Venable
Both sides are the same (coatings)... http://26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P9030226.jpg And all the coatings are on the front of the panels. The green is the first coating, under the orange and black.
