Found my PS leak. Line above the pump

24 May 2020 - 12:44 PM

Well the leak I didn't want to happen happened. The power steering line above the power steering pump is leaking at the pressure fitting. Any updated procedure other than what I found on search removing the heat shields some brackets and clamps and using crows foot wrenches? Also is that line still available from auto parts stores? I looked and I see it but not sure if it's available?

How can I get this wire back in? Can the inside be pushed out to expose where the wire attaches too?

Jonathans 98 Eclipse spyder GST

25 March 2020 - 09:17 AM

Well since the body shops are all closed here in Socal, I cant get the Starion in to get the front end worked on, so I will start on the Eclipse. Need to drop the tranny to replace the clutch. First time doing a clutch on a FWD car, especially on this car with so many hoses and wires. Cant believe this thing was drivable when I got it. Their had to be only 2 or 3 vaccum lines that were correctly attached, or attached for that matter! The fuel vacuum sensor line went from the top connection to the bottom connection. attached to itself!

This is the 89 auto down window switch correct? It has the smaller wires connecting to the drivers window switch.

Jonathans 87 Blackwater revival

Figured I would start a restoration thread. Before everything gets shut down here in Socal, got some things done.

Got the radiator brought back to negative 30 years ago and got the TB rebuild kit. Looks like this virus will at least keep me home to work on the Starion and Eclipse (need to drop the tranny to replace the clutch).
