Measurement needed for Conquest header panel decal

Hey guys... sitting there at work with nothing to do? I have a way you can step outside and enjoy the sunshine for about 30-60 seconds :)

What I need is an exact measurement of the header panel decal for a Quest. I took a pic of StarquestRescue's while I was at his place a few weeks ago (enough to recreate it), but I forgot to measure it.

It looks about 6" long, but I need width and height measurements please.I'm gonna be offering up something but I need to be sure it's 100% accurate before I finish it.

Thanks Guys

9" long 1/2" high

Just curious... does this vary due to the type of lettering/script used? I know on mine, the cars have a couple different styles of lettering, & have even seen more styles in addition on others.

I have a set of OEM Black outlined, sorta block lettering style, hollow inside. It is a factory original set from Chrysler. This has factory, I would believe to be the OEM # on it w/ designated HD Legend for "Hood/Header." Reads: CONQUEST, the measurements are as follows:

9 7/8" total length (start of lettering to end/all measurements)

3/8" total height, except for the "Q" which is 1/2"

On a sticker on back of the individual decal it reads: 04441476 HD LEGEND 01-01

Hope this is of help? ;)

Here's what I made today. Thanks for the input guys!

I'll have to redo these in white when the Quest gets it's Cobalt Metallic paint job though.

YES!!! i sssoooo want that imported for chrysler sticker!!!

They look great N8, I see another winner there!

I had Ron at moto-on (whatever happened to him?) make me a custom set 4 years ago.

Mine say CONQUEST GSR=VR and imported for plymouth on the tail, GSR=VR sides and front panel.

Be cool if you could do something like that too if requested?

Hey Gibby, long time no see :)

Strang3majik sent me all of those .eps files off of his PC, so I could probably do those as well. I haven't looked into doing them yet though.

I'm seriously considering offering these (pictured above) up as well, there's only one drawback that I can see... and I really don't wanna piss off members that were here long before me.

If I'm the guy you're talking about, have at it. I have had a couple requests for reflective decals, which I don't offer currently, and probably won't given the cost of quality reflective vinyl. I also don't offer the "imported for Chrysler" decals, and my header panel decals are solid text, not outline. Some people may want that, and I don't offer it, so there's an opprotunity for competition there. I really don't mind competition. It keeps prices down for customers, and makes sure that vendors offer more quality products for a better price. For instance, my decal sets are $35 shipped instead of the $50+ sets that are already out there. My kits also include extra decals, like "turbo" door handle decals. "Intercooled Turbo" decals, mitsu logos, etc... I did that on purpose. I offer a quality product that that meets or exceeds the competition, plus I give the freebies too, all for less money. If I can't offer a similar product for less than the competition, then I don't offer it. This is the reason I don't offer the reflective stuff. I can't get it at a price that would allow me to sell the sets for any cheaper than the guys who are already out there, so it's not really worth it for me to spend a bunch of cash on reflective vinyl, only for it to sit because I only sell 1 or 2 reflective sets a year. If your sets go for cheaper than mine, then I won't bother offering mine anymore. Frankly, that's no biggie, because the SQ decal sets I offer are the lowest profit for the most work of any of the vinyl stuff I offer for any car. If your price is higher than mine, then I'm not worried, because SQers typically go for the less expensive products, especially when they are made of the same quality as the more expensive stuff. I've only had one of my products beaten on price and that was fog/park/turn covers that were $5 cheaper than mine, but were also acrylic rather than the polycarbonate ones I offer. Acrylic is easier to chip and warp than polycarb, so I didn't worry too much about it.

Oh, and if you are making your kits a "perfect" match to OEM, then be careful. My decals sets are very slightly different than the OEM ones on purpose. I'm not trying to get sued for a copyright infringement.

Anyway, best of luck in whatever you decide to offer. So far all of the items you got out there look like quality stuff and are desired items, so kudos to you. I'm sure if you started selling these kits they's be quality also, but I doub't you'll be able to match my prices.

Thanks for being cool about it Dude. I chose not to name-drop just in case. I've known for a long time that I "could" actually make these. But since you had already offered your version to the club, I didn't want to impede or create animosity for offering up a similar set of items. Most of the items I've offered up so far, no one else has tackled. Even though these are done with a completely different process.

I've been around SQC for a few years now but still feel kinda like the "FNG" :) but I've had dozens of people send me PM's (as I'm sure you have as well) like "can you make this" , "I'll take these if you can make 'em" "How bout this, no one reproduces these". So I take whatever free time I have while I'm at work (or at home) and try to lay this stuff out for people. 9 times out of 10, I make up a dozen of whatever it is, pay for it at work... then I sell 2 sets, so I'm not in this to make a huge profit either. If I was, it's not working :) And also, I know I can't beat your prices, they are great for what you get. You've gone above and beyond to give people what they pay for. I'm kind of like the middle man between people wanting something and the place that I can get it done. I'd be lucky to make a couple bucks off of each one of these.

But fact of the matter is, I wanted to make an "exact" version for myself and I've had dozens PM and ask me if I could make them for their cars. So as long as your down with it....so am I.

Thanks man for being cordial about it, and that there's no hard feelings

This is the most requested item, but I've been putting it off for over a year now. But if you're cool with it that's AWESOME
