Engine is supposed to be picked up tomorrow. The transmission is still for sale. Will sell for any reasonable offer.
-
For those interested, I may have this sold. I am holding until 1-7 for someone. I also have other interest as well. I will update ASAP.
-
Engine is complete with turbo. How about an offer?
-
How about $400? Surely someone could use a good motor and/ or transmission.

1989 engine and transmission out of a Conquest. 86,000 miles on both. Engine is stock. Runs perfect, but clutch was starting to slip. I just finished swapping to a v8 and no longer need. $600. for both. Must be picked up. I am located in Roanoke, VA. 540-815-2521

FS: 1989 CONQUEST TSI SHP W/SUNROOF (BLACK ON BLACK)

Very sharp car! These cars should be selling for so much more than they do, especially one as nice as this. Someone will be getting a lot of car for the money. -
Got mine from natallica a couple of weeks ago. I was very pleased.
-
Sorry. I need it for a 1989 Conquest.

I am looking for a nice driver's side taillight shipped to VA. Does anyone have one for about $40. I will pay shipping of course.

I see there is another black & tan! The front tag issue never came up. I think he was too busy checking it out. I also have a VIper that I just can bare to put a front tag on. I keep it in the trunk with a tag bracket that I have packaged to look new. You know, just got it-ha! Hopefully I won't get stopped for this.

Nice work digging up the old post. This is the same car listed in the link above by dmdvzla.

Thanks for the nice comments. On the back is the reflective white decal made by natallica. It really picks up the light.

This is a great forum! The first Conquest that I saw was in the mall when I was in high school in 1987. I wanted one for years after that. I love cars and have had many. I bought a Fiji blue Conquest about 13 years ago, sold it and have regreted it since. I bought this car from a site member in August 4 hours away. It was one of those "can drive it anywhere". Needless to say, it broke down on the way home. The body is solid and only has 85k miles. Supposedly, it sat in a police impound yard for 9 years before the previous owner bought it. The paint was faded and the seats were cracked. I have painted it and had the seats recovered. At first I wasn't crazy about the black with tan interior, but I have grown to really like it. It seems to be a pretty rare combo. I have also fixed every mechanical and electrical that it has had so far. From the information on this site, I will likely have more. The pictures aren't the greatest quality, but are the only one's I could upload. I hope everyone likes it.
