StallionProject86
*Update* the problem has been resolved thanks! Its a three pronged sensor that connects from the air canister to the ecu and the throttle body I believe it reads some sort of vacuum and without it my car is spitting and not wanting to idle at all. :/ The part number that is stamped reads: K5T41594 6110 Also if one of you has a picture of the correct way to connect it can you please post it here or maybe direct me to a link that has it pictured. Just so there's no mistakes. Thank you very much. **edit* The name of this item is hard to pinpoint but I've done further reading and I believe it's a "boost/turbo control solenoid" I'm not positive though, even Mitsubishi couldn't help me. .our cars are no longer in there database. Today I drove the car around the block and and it's pulling 10-11psi and I have no modifications done that would enable me to raise or lower the boost on my 86' which from the factory is limited to 7.5-8.5psi right. ? And my brother who was with me said it spiked to 14psi and that's coming from a brand new Auto Meter gauge. So I'm lost. .any help? SFBMX88
Is this the solenoid thats mounted on the firewall above the brake booster and next to the pressure sensor? If so, its called the "pressure exchange solenoid valve". Did you test it to see if it works first? If this is the part you need, I may have one for you since Im swapping my 86 harness for an 88. StallionProject86
Okay that's the part I need. And no, we have no way of really testing it. One or more of the passages got blocked off I believe the glue got to it. But this has to be what I need because before it broke the car ran completely fine. Also does this exchange solenoid measure vacuum from the turbo. ? My Auto Meter gauge stays at "0" unless I step on it which in return will max me out at 10psi but I get no vacuum Edited November 27, 2010 by StallionProject86

It needs to be hooked up at any port AFTER the throttle plate. If its hooked up before the throttle, you will only see boost through the gauge. StallionProject86
I had it incorrectly hooked up at first it was connected off the wastegate nipple. Now I have it connected to my EGR and it reads vacuum .not sure is that's most accurate spot? But it seems to be working out

When looking at the row of 3 ports, Port #3 is closest to the Firewall.
