Didn't check through all the forums 1st, but thought I might pass this along:   I had the "wonderful opportunity" to have the need to replace/heli coil the stud holes in my head this past week. I had gone through a new exhaust mani gasket in about 2K miles. Naturally, I heard it begin to leak (so I thought to be the sound origin) On inspection the 1st (2) head studs would only "spin" not tighten.
