I've never experienced having bad cv joints in any car I've owned so I have no reference but can they make noise on bumps and only on bumps? I know the traditional clicking noise they tend to make and I don't have that, not yet anyway. I do have one ripped boot however so I know regardless its getting close to time to replace them.   The noise I'm hearing is a clunk, but the only time it happens is over more of a violent bump. Just trying to track it down.   Any thoughts are appreciated.   Al
