  1. I figure this will take a while, so I'll post now. I'm in the Tallahassee, FL area and am preparing for my next project. Having done some research, I've researched a feasible late model motor/trans swap idea (Ecotec/MA5) and need a car to put it in. I've owned an '86 and an '88 SQ & like the car. Here's what I'm looking for- I'm not in a hurry, so I'm particular about the car & location: Widebody Prefer manual, but will consider an auto Sunroof Black interior- may consider tan, leather or cloth makes no difference Interior must be complete/nearly complete- i.e. dash, climate controls, etc. AC- need the main parts to be there- condenser & evaporator under dash No rust through on rails or sheetmetal Paint condition not so important. Color preference yellow, blue, black, red, but will consider others. I also like white, but it seems like all of them have the maroon interior (see below) Low cost- looking for a project that got started and ran out of time/money/interest, price range around $500 Donations for a good home. I have a shop and keep my "kids" out of the weather, so if you have a car you just can't get rid of but don't want to scrap it, I'll save it if it meets my criteria Here are deal killers- please don't waste your time and mine asking about these: Maroon interior Maroon interior Maroon interior (get the point? ) No sunroof Rusted through rails or sheetmetal A great deal 1,000~2,000 miles away- the cost to ship an inoperable car is more than the cost of the car I have a car hauler & could pickup in the north part of Florida, the SE part of Alabama, or the south part of Georgia. You can reply here with any candidates or PM me. Thanks.
  2. SOLD!!! Hey Dudes, as some of you may know, I recently purchased the Quest I've been waiting for (1989 SHP Auto Fiji), so I am selling one that I was beggining to restore. This thread will be pic heavy but I want you to know exactly what you'd be getting, and I can't stand vague threads with no real info, so I'll let you know everything that I can. I purchased the car from a member on here who had intentions of doing a swap, he lost interest and was relocating for a few months so he sold it to me. I was going to put it all back together so I brought her home and parked it. The car came as a roller with a g54B block with an unusable head, and NO tranny so she's being offered up the same way. Here are the particulars: It's a 1989 Conquest TSI (Non SHP, no sunroof) Original Fiji Blue Car was automatic, so it has the LARGER TRANS TUNNEL, great for swappers! Car was purchased in Johnstown, PA, then relocated to Goldsboro NC (sometime in 2011 I believe) then I brought her back to PA in Jan 2013 approx 97k on the body Title was signed by previous owner, I never switched it over to my name rust free underneath, no frame rot, a few tiny cosmetic spots at rear wheels 87 black leather seats Nice door cards included they're currently in the rear seat Lots of odds and ends in a storage box, aftermarket piping etc. whatever the PO removed Dash is in good shape Un-cracked tail lights 6 Bolt axles OEM Exhaust OEM wheels in nice shape, typical clear coat spider-webbing. Here's the not so good, but not deal breakers that I can recall: No trans, I'll throw in the stock G54B short block if interested for no additional charge, came with the car, unsure of condition, wasn't installed when purchased. Clear Coat is flaky in a few spots, and usual door dings and such, nothing major typical rear side spoiler paint flakage Car needs a front bumper support, had bumper cover zip tied to the car (I guess for weight reduction, not sure) Air-dam is broken on one side, but may be fixable Armrest console has a crack above drivers side seat belt opening, but not unusable. I did replace the passenger side fender with a white one but I still have the Fiji one with the goober on the top. The only thing I removed off of her was the strut tower bar, sorry. I'm sure there are guys on here looking for something like this, and I can't keep all of them, I'll probably regret doing it eventually, but it may help someone on here build their dream ride so that to me, is worth it! I'm looking to get $800 firm for her the way she sits with all of the parts and everything included. Sorry, but I DO NOT wish to part any of this out, it comes as a package deal. And think of it this way... if you do plan a swap, then the BS of having to remove most of the OEM engine bay 'garbage' is already done saving you some time and aggravation And Fiji 'autos' aren't really simple to find, trust me I've been looking for years. Car currently resides at my father-in-laws in Hagerstown MD... anxiously awaiting someone to give her a loving home. Thanks guys, first with the cash takes her home. -N8 Here's the pics: http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/2012-12-16_14-34-01_95.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03211.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03212.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03213.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03215.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03216.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03217.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03218.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/DSC03219.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/2012-12-22_15-15-16_383.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/2012-12-22_15-15-02_870.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/2012-12-22_15-14-46_804.jpg
  3. I found this today while searching CL: Link: http://newlondon.craigslist.org/cto/4042529028.html Ad: t4htt-4042529028@sale.craigslist.org Posted: 2013-09-02, 11:00PM EDT 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSI - Turbo - $600 (Danielson CT) http://images.craigslist.org/00T0T_iVVpVunrS6b_600x450.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/00T0T_iVVpVunrS6b_50x50c.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/00U0U_dPVp3J4fIC6_50x50c.jpghttp://images.craigslist.org/00808_8ef44JtXR8V_50x50c.jpg I have a 1987 Conquest TSI (Mitsubishi Starion), black-on-black leather, roughly 115k. This is the widebody version. We spun a bearing, so the motor/tranny is out of the car. It's a rolling chassis as it stands right now. The body is straight and has no rot. I have the title, original engine/tranny, and a TON of spare parts. I also have a spare motor and new parts, as the plan was to build it for 500hp. I am listing the new parts in the parts classifieds. The motor that was in the car and that will come with it is the 2.6 liter turbo. It has a TEP (top end performance) street race cam, Marnal two-valve head (jet valve removed), 16g turbo, and an intake tube with blowoff valve. It's currently out of the car and disassembled, but I have all of the pieces. The 5-speed transmission will also come with the car. Call Troy at 860-three77-03five4. Asking $600 obo.
  4. 1987 Starion parts car with salvage title. This car was hit in the back while at an intersection at a dead stop. 68k miles on engine and transmission. Car does roll and was running when pulled into my garage 2 years ago but I have taken off the fuel injector and fuel pump so it does not run. The doors do not close so that gives you and idea of the damage on the back. There is no air dam on the front, I have used it on the one I have rebuilt but all the rest of the front end body parts are there. $600 is the price. I am not interested in parting out, I really do not have the time to mess with it. I also do have my finished car up for sale, it looks great and has 78k miles and everything works on it, even the antenna. It's been fun to work on in the past 2 years and have had a good time driving it, but on to the next project. Price on that is $6500. Send me and email if you are interested in parts car and I will forward pics. Interior is black leather, manual transmission. Pics of both cars are on Craigslist Chicago Illinois. Rosepeeper@aol.com
  5. Good condition. Not driven since '94. Stored and covered in an open shed so paint is still pretty good. Interior is in good condition, Front seats and dash have no defects. Tires are dry rotted of course and wheels have some peeling. Front air dam is decent. There is a slight dent in the passenger door. There is also a small dent on the river's side part of the 3 piece spoiler. Motor was removed and partially disassembled. Motor and all parts including the turbo to go with the car. I'm sorry but I will not part-out.Can deliver within 100 miles of Atlanta, Birmingham or Chattanooga for cost of round trip fuel from zip code 35959 (Cedar Bluff, AL). http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/88conquest/bth_IMG-20120428-00434_zps9e4851a9.jpghttp://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/88conquest/bth_IMG-20120428-00425_zps342e4bc1.jpg
