I've been shopping for another SQ since I anticipate I'll be selling a car soon. What I'd like to do is find one w/o a motor/trans and do a late model EFI swap, either an Ecotech or GM truck 2.9L inline 4 w/ added turbo to keep the layout the same. An alternative to this would be a performance rebuild of a stock motor. Option 2 would be to find a decent operable car that looks good. One of the main drawbacks is I want one w/ a sunroof & all AC components, at least the parts inside the car & I don't want a burgundy/red interior. It is black and a 5spd with a straight and solid body. It has been stored indoors for years until I sold the house. It is sold as a PROJECT. The motor and tranny are out. Here is what goes with it; complete '89 motor on a stand. original block. good transmission. 2 valve updated head. TEP cam. 16G turbo with upgraded piping. The extras for performance upgrades; JE forged pistons - new, lightened flywheel - new, 3 puck ceramic clutch - new, set of swirled/ undercut valves - new, Hybrid t3/t4 turbo - new, counterbalance eliminator, gasket sets...ETC. box loads of extra parts. I would prefer to sell as one project lot... if I am low balled I will part out on Ebay. (end of ad) I tallied the cost of the listed parts and came up around $2,700~3,100 w/o the t3/t4 turbo, so this looks like a good deal if it is as described. The bad news for me is it would be about $800+ to ship an inoperable vehicle and this presumes the seller will ship it and the parts will fit into the rear area. I emailed the seller some questions and will see if they respond. Is this a good deal? Any opinions as to the car or parts?

I am trying to sell my conquest again. I would have updated the old thread, but the server is saying it can't access it. For sale is my Red '89 Conquest SHP. This would be a great project car because for the most part it has been untouched. The previous owner only installed a blow-off valve and all I have done is some basic maintenance and parts replacement. The car is located in NW Arkansas in the Fayetteville area. The car has been off the road for a few years now because I was rear-ended. The bumper has some slight damage, the tails need to be replaced, it does need a new deck lid. Other than that, this is a great car that just needs some cleaning up. I am a student finishing up school and I haven't had the time/resources to get the car back in order. I can't stand to see it just sit there and I have another conquest project that I want/need to finish. I have started the car and driven it around from time to time. The car doesn't hesitate to start and it still runs really good. I need to check the odometer again, but the car has about 140,XXX miles on it. I am asking $1100 OBO.
