  2. I know I don't post here very often, I'm not really a forum person. But my car is no stranger, I'd presume. I didn't feel this was worthy of "Meeting Planning" because of the nature of the post. At Any Rate . . .I'll try to be as concise as possible. The best way to do that is numbered bullets. 1. Posting this because I'd like to network outward and meet people in the hopes of building a strong resource of Starquest owners, mechanics, enthusiasts, etc as I am . . . 2. Building a track car out of my car. I know, I know. It's not much yet, because the financial "rug" was pulled from underneath me just as I was about to tear into her. So she's got her drift/racing "livery", a racing seat, a rebuilt engine (thanks to Frenchii) and a few other things like a baffled oil pan without much else. 3. I don't expect "something for nothing". I'm a proponent of paying for QUALITY work, you can ask Frenchii, I try to go above and beyond as far as being a paying customer. I also am looking to learn, so if while you're working on the car you can show me what is being done, or you can point and say "turn that bolt and lift that part" that'd be the best. That way I can work on the car if/when it breaks at the track. In summary, it's just a way for me to meet some SQers, motorsports enthusiasts and mechanically savvy people. The three aren't required, nor are they preferred. As long as we have fun tinkering and talking shop. As with ANY track car, any help is greatly appreciated especially if that help comes in the form of EDUCATION. I love learning and don't mind getting my knuckles busted, hands burnt and fingernails dirty in the effort to learn more about my car. The perils of being a track-junky who never took the opportunity to learn mechanics, I guess. LOL! Thanks to any and all who may respond to this (in advance) David Adams #37 87 Chrysler Conquest TSi PS: Oh, and don't worry. Although she's stock, I still take her to the track. My philosophy is that seat-time is seat-time. Whether it's tuned or barely running.
  3. Okay, sooooooo, I just got a house in New York with my beautiful fiancee, Holly. She's going to be leasing a car soon but until then, she's going to be driving my F-150 to work and back. Which means, I'll be driving Derpy . . .my Conquest. Snow has fallen and will continue to fall, probably until about March-ish . . .so if anyone here has any tips for safe and relatively stress-free travels, I'm open to ALL suggestions (short of buying a new car, that's not feasible right now). She has plenty of tread life (despite her primary use) and stock suspension (despite her primary use). I know some of you more experienced Northerners can help a driver out. Although I've been drifting for the better part of a decade, I really . . .REALLY . . don't enjoy doing it unintentionally, LOL! -Dave
  4. DRIFT! The ClubLoose East Coast bash just went down again at Englishtown Raceway park here in NJ. Just watch the vids, no explanation needed. 5. Its that time again people! Wall Speedway in Wall NJ is the destination tomorrow for Formula Drift Round 4 at "The Gauntlet". Easily the craziest FD venue with it's big banks, transitions and crossover. If you are in the region and are thinking about it, don't sleep it's always nuts. BTW, after this, the Club Loose East Coast Bash is coming up next weekend at Englishtown Raceway Park, NJ. FORMULA DRIFT WEBSITE
  6. Following up on NJ's Club Loose Bloodmasters vid, here's another one. Little doc on grassroots drifting with drifters from all over the US, but featuring the Club Loose guys from Jersey. If somebody has posted it already, my bad. LOL KEEP DRIFTING FUN GRASSROOTS DRIFING MOVIE
