  3. So I really hate to make a topic like this but I have been trying to work with this member since July and we seem to be getting nowhere and I feel like I am being taken advantage of by this person because I am fairly new to this site. I have almost $1000.00 on the line but in the interest of informing and protecting other new or potential buyers, I feel it is my duty to make this known. I really like this forum and the members here and these types of "deals" can really ruin such a great place. I want to be as direct and to the point as possible so I will provide my story and all of our messages, I hope that members here will chime in and I thank you in advance for taking the time to read this thread and participate. This all started in early July when I saw this post: http://www.starquest...howtopic=137774 I made an inquiry with quikconk (the seller), about the "near mint" SHP wheels. We made a deal and I foolishly paid him as a "gift" via PayPal based on his good feedback here. Let me say I will absolutely NEVER send a payment as a "gift" ever again. Lesson learned, please don't make the same mistake I did. I was pretty excited to receive some "near mint" SHP wheels as the seller described. I was willing to pay a little more for these wheels based on their stellar description and this members feedback, and boy did I pay a lot ($950.00) but to be honest I would have been happy to pay that much for a set of "near mint" SHP wheels. The seller took a week to pack them up and ship them and finally, several days later I received them. I received the wheels packed in Home Depot moving boxes (very thin), 2 wheels in each box with a thin piece of cardboard separating the wheels inside the box. The other had a 1/2" piece of styrofoam separating the wheels with the corner already broken off from the edge of the wheel and the weight of it sitting on another wheel. This was a bit alarming but there was no damage to the outside of the boxes. I removed the wheels from the boxes and immediately noticed their poor condition, lip bends, gouges, scratches and other damages never shown in his sale post. So at this point I am a little bummed but I figure I can get them refurbished as long as they do not have bent "barrels". I take the wheels to my local Discount Tire and have the Manager spin them up to check for bent barrels, and within 1 minute of spinning up each wheel I am advised that both front wheels have bent barrels and he recommended that I DO NOT mount new tires on them as they would shake and vibrate especially on the front and on the highway. The rears do not have bent barrels but do have some lip bends and gouging that were not disclosed to me or the public at any time. Ok so this whole thing went from bad to worse, I contact the seller and that is where my nightmare began. The next post will be our full conversation.
