I am selling a 1988 Starion that has an engine with 0 miles. I bought two cars from jonboyb, and one of them is gone already, so here is what you are getting: A Solid body with little or no rust that I can find, yet unfortunately got hailed on. I didn't receive a black hood with it, so it has the silver hood. The car has been in a garage for the last 4ish years. The engine was built by jonboyb and has many new parts, including a new crank. It has never been cranked as far as I know, but has been in a shop since I have had it. The previous owner had installed a V8 into the car, I have reinstalled a stock engine. You get a complete engine wiring harness with the car. I have a good bit of parts that go with the car, two transmissions, extra starter,some turbo parts extra 12a and a S16G, extra cluster, extra injectors, etc. Look at the pictures. I know I am going to take a big loss on this, but I need this car out of my garage, I don't have the time or money to fix it. I have all four Starion wheels that have fairly new tires on them plus a brand new tire of the same type. The two mismatched wheels are off a 300ZX, lol. This car does not come with everything needed to get it running unfortunately. You will need a radiator, intercooler and piping, and a driveshaft which I seem to have lost. I have 2k in all this stuff, I don't expect to get that for a car that doesn't run, so I will start at $1500, mainly because of the engine. Those of you who are on the Austarion site would have probably seen my ride by now but here it is: When I bought it the motor was seized, Stock as a rock on cut springs: http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd504/niss720/JB%20Starion/JBFlattystarion.jpg I rebuilt the motor with some mild goodies including TD05 turbo, MPI manifold, Mildly worked head, Balance shafe delete and had it fully balanced. Well I have to let my baby go. Its white and in almost perfect shape. New tires on rear and front have about 80% left. Tdo5h turbo. Aftermarket boost guage in guage cluster. Turbo timer .Just put a head gasket in and new valve seals and new water pump. And I'm probably forgetting a lot . the only bad is that it needs a new windshield and has no ac. Interior is about 9 out of 10 and it already has 89 suspension and 89 ecu and full msd ignition . car drives great and is currently on 15psi and pulls hard. I live in va so if you want to see it call or text and I can send pics because for some reason my phone won't let me load pics to here. 7573444540 and I'm looking to get 4k out of it.

I live in Knoxville TN and I traded a 2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200s for a 1987 Mistubishi Starion I dont know if I did good or not but this car runs good and I have 1800$ in it. I am learning alot from this site and appreciate the info on the rare breed of car {it is the reason I didnt trade it off } Ive never been into racing or turbos but this is a fun little car to drive it has a bigger turbo, ac and ect where removed it has a 1989 Manual Tranny with a stage 2 clutch. The tires are huge for a 4 cylinder car but it will get sideways as you want it too. I guess what im getting at is this someones car from the area if so could you tell me who and what all has been done to it that I dont know so I am not buying ramdom parts I know its a shot in the dark but doesnt hurt to try. Thanks for any info you may have also thanks for this forum and the priceless info. BTW looks like im going to keep the thing it has 162000 but I would have to think it was rebuilt by someone as it has 140-145 psi compression across the board but any advice on getting this machine quicker I am willing to listen to the dyno sheet the person I got it from states 276 rwhp and 245 lb tourqe which isnt stock but I want 350+ out of it

Not Mine!... and this guys a hater! V8 Mitsubishi Starion - $3000 (Jackson) 1987 Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Starion with a Lexus 1uz-fe v8 engine and a 5 speed manual transmission for sale. It might be an 87. I don't care. It was a TSI car so it is the wide fender. I got this on trade and don't know much about it. All I know is this car is not for me, I actually hate it. Runs and drives. Dual 3inch exhaust, braided AN for fuel and clutch. Leather interior. Autometer 5 inch tachometer. Wideband AFR gauge. I don't know much about it so I really cannot put too many details out. Hood is bent from flying up. Windshield not damaged. 3000 obo. Get this s*** out of my yard. 678-925-3264 Don't flag this. I am 17 and I am looking to buy my second car. I am selling my '90 325i (which I loved) and I really want something new. There is a Conquest TSI for sale just down the road and I am REALLY interested in the car. The more I look into these cars, the more I want one. The one thing that is holding me back is something that my brothers friends told me. They are experienced when it comes to cars and they said that it would be difficult to find parts (especially new parts) and if I did, they would be very expensive. I would really love to have one of these cars but if that is the case with parts, I don't know if I can afford it at this point in my life (minimal income). How much truth is there to their standpoint on these cars? Are parts really that expensive and rare? Is it even realistic for me to consider this car? (If it is reasonable, I will probably return with tons more questions!) Thanks in advance!

This thread is dedicated to the restoration of my first car, a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion. I bought it on December 8th, 2012 (2 days after my 18th birthday) from a local man who was selling his project because he wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren. On the way home it wouldn't hold any RPM's and eventually stalled out. Luckily we weren't far from home, and we're friends with a local tow truck driver. At first we thought it was a bad fuel pump or a dirty tank, but upon giving it a fresh battery, it started and ran fine. Since then I've put on 2 front tires that hold air (they were used tires from our pile, but hey, they were free), since the old ones were rotten and leaky (I will be putting on a set of brand new ones before I'm finished the project). 2 weeks ago I pulled the radiator before starting a 2 week long condensed college course, so i was unable to do anything aside from ordering a new radiator. Today I discovered that my new radiator does not have the two holes at either side of the bottom of the tank where the coolant temperature sensors for the fans plug into, which brings me to my first of many questions, how should I go about solving this? Is there a way to have the coolant temp sensors somewhere else, or do I have to buy a different radiator? I also need to get the wastegate working properly. Should i be able to move it freely without the car running or should I not be able to move the linkage at all? right now I haven't seen it move with the car off, idling, or running at a higher speed. I know the vacuum lines are routed wrong, but does it sound like I will need a new wastegate solenoid? Anyway, thing still on the list of things to do: Front Wheel Bearings Strut Rod Bushings Drain and fill differential/trans Brake hoses Fix parking brake Complete brake job (drilled and slotted rotors?) Sway bar bushings Tires Polish wheels Paint-(going with Summit's Acrylic Urethane System-Merlot color) Possibly an aftermarket intake Fix an exhaust leak at the flange behind the second catalytic converter Some parts I could use some help finding: Wheel center caps? I cant find them anywhere... Rear wiper motor Rear wiper arm is rusted and bent Here's a picture of the day I brought it home, as well as a picture of the paint color I'm getting If you have any suggestions or answers to my questions, your help is much appreciated. I'm selling a complete engine and transmission out of an 88 Starion with 88K miles to make way for a 2JZ swap. Turbo needs to be rebuilt and the starter is not included in the sale. It's located in West Palm Beach area and I am willing to ship at buyer's expense (typically $200 for engine and tranny). In the following days im going to begin surgery on my 88 quest for a 360 swap. The motor is from a 77 dodge aspen r/t and ill be using an aisin ax-15 from a dakota thats been beefed up a bit. I will have as many pictures of the progress as possible, any questions just ask!

1983 Mitsubishi Black Starion 2.6L Turbo - $950 firm (Martinez, CA.) SF East Bay Area; This is a 1983 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo 2.6L Engine (1st year) Original owner. Currently this car is NOT running and is NOT registered (about 3yrs). I am selling this as a project car the current issue is that the fuel injectors need to be reinstalled (have originals possibly new ones needed). This car has about 146K orig miles and I am the original owner. This vehicle has sunroof, power windows, AC (currently disconnected). I have the replacement tail light. I searched, but could not find an answer. Will a 88 distributor work in a 87? My car is a 87 5sp widebody. The only engine mod is hard pipes with a bov.

I have a 1986 Mitsubishi starion with the R04 paint code runs and drives and i drive it daily and it has been relatively reliable, it is rusty but no structural rust i was going to fix it during my auto collision classes but would take longer than i have before i graduate. I'd like to get 1200 but for the right offer i would sell it. I've got more then 2000 in the car.Has an ebay hardpipe, over the valve cover pipe. car comes with an extra engine block that need balance shaft bearings and a oil pump need nothing else and 2 exhaust manifolds, extra cooling fans,another throttle body,another turbo that needs rebuilt,and other random stuff i have never gone through What i've done since i have owned it: Replaced the engine with a rebuilt one i got for my birthday Replaced the transmission with one from an 87 quest I replaced the fuel injectors with good factory ones Replaced the turbo with a good factory turbo New gaskets for the engine has a different MAF out of an 86 will have new cv shaft boots on the driver side they are starting to crack, interior is in good shape other than the pedal covers are gone,as is the factory radio and the previous owner cut the plugs off the radio wiring harness and the rear seat on the driver side has a place where the seam stitching has broken but could be re stitched I am Located in Luther Iowa and yes i would ship the car if somebody wants it bad enough. also the car has a sun roof and leather seats I must also include that i do not need to sell my Starion, I just want to see it go to someone that will fix it up since at the moment i don't have the time or funds to do it my self need it gone to make room in garage -
I have a 1995 clean titled Jeep Cherokee that is long armed, The jeep has 185k but runs great it is a 5 speed with a new clutch but needs to be bled the slave cylinder got disconnected when i did the clutch havent had time. The jeep has a ford 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gearing and a a detroit tru trac locker with 3" rubicon express springs and 2" blocks rides way smoother this way, The front end is a hd dana 30 out of a grand cherokee cv style, also has 3.73 gears as well the front springs are 5.5" rubicon express springs, the front end has a long arm set up, that is built not bought its a triangulated 4 link pretty much the lower arms are 37" long and the uppers are 19" and tie into the lowers.. Its got good tread 33" mastercraft MT's I'm located in oregon 503 320 6806 WIll trade for a 86 or newer starion, txt me for pix or I will upload some later tonight
