  1. I'm selling my 89 quest to make way for my blue beast I'm building in the engine swap section. It's a pain in the arse to keep up with 4 vehicles and this one has been a blast to own, I don't really want to sell it, but I need to. I also just bought a grand prix GTP as a daily driver and makes it easy to load my child in and out of a 4 door car, so I don't drive this one very much. It has some rust in the front part of the drives quarter panel down low and a little bit starting at the top of the wheel well, and the normal frame rust that these car have. I removed the antenna and covered the hole with white tape, and there's a small tear in the rear bumper as well. List of mods are: Precision front mount intercooler supports 600 HP Part Number: PIN053-1010 HOLSET HY35 mounted to a stock manifold, 2.5" hard pipes, GM MAF Translator, MSD 6al with blaster 2 coil, tach adapter, shift light with a set of rpm chips. Trilogy fuel pressure regulator. Taylor wires. ABS, Jet valve and AC delete. Shortened stock shifter. South Bend Clutch (6 puck ceramic). Unothadox 11 lb aluminum flywheel with changeable face plate. 3" Down pipe to full 3" mandrel bent exhaust. Manual boost controller. Autometer boost and pyrometer gauges with a TRE sensor. Walbro 255 fuel pump, Hard wired with relay. Suspension Technique front springs. Tokico struts all around. NEW drag link or center link for steering rods. Cross drilled and slotted rotors. Remote mount rear battery conversion with an aluminum box and lid. HEAVY gauge wire with fuse and rear ON/OFF switch to meet track standards. Polished 8" and 9" SHP wheels! I think that's everything... She has 173k of miles, previous owner said it was rebuilt, but had no paper work. The engine has a lifter tick and always has. This car runs like a champ, never had a running issue with it, always been able to get in and go. It ran a 13.2 ET at 115 mph spinning 1rst, most of 2nd, and chirped 3rd @ 18 psi. Nice porno red interior to boot! with a 1rst gen steering wheel. If you don't want the wheel I might have another red one instead. Price is $3,500 firm. Not interested in trades.   4. So here is my problem.... I bought my 87 Starion in non running condition. The previous owner couldn't figure it out. He took it to the Mitsubishi dealer and had them check it over. They installed a new IAC setup but still couldnt figure out what was wrong. They blamed it on the MAF-T and said that is probably what was causing it to not start. I purchased a new one version 2.2 and still nothing. The wiring harness on the right half of the engine bay was completely hacked and taped together. It came with an 88 knock box and ecu. The EGR, air conditioning and antilock brakes were taken out. This is what I have done.... I finally got the car to start by moving the distributor back and forth. It would idle fine for a while then it would start the UP down UP down idle thing. As soon as I would get the car to about 3,000rpm it would just stall with no power and no gas until it dropped back to around 1,000rpm then it would kick back in. I installed new injector clips and all wiring to them. I was going to reset the ISC etc but the car just stopped working. So I took out the entire wiring harness on the right half of the engine and built a new one making sure to build it exactly as it was, going by the factory service manual. SO now after all that I still dont have fuel or spark. Fuel injectors are getting 50lbs, power to injectors a steady 12v, main relay is brand new all tach and negative ignition coil wires hooked up properly and are getting to the ECU. COULD this be the knock box? I want to install the MSD ignition system like I have seen on many other Starions but no one ever really talks about it. I wanted to get the 6-BTM becasue of the turbo timing retard. Do I even need that since the distributor does that already? Thank you all for your help and sorry for the REALLY long post. I figured it would be easier to get all the facts out first to save time later answering a hundred questions.
  5. Startin to pull parts,,need to fund my up and coming project. The header is a stout unit,sch-40 welded steel,the turbo needs a full rebuild,but garrett t3 60-1 parts are readily available and easy to rebuild,tial wastegate 38 mm I believe,,, works great. Has -10 oil drain adapter,-6 water adapters. Header 300 tial 150 turbo 175 package deal 500.00,,,,will not sell the wastegate without selling the header first. Msd package,,,connect 4 wires and you'll be running,,well should be. All is still connected takin straight from my car,,has the unit,accel coil tach adapter. 160.00 Unorthodox pulley 125.00 pagemo adjustable cam gear,,,75.00 crank vents,,75.00 good dizzy,vac advance,,with fairly new taylor wires,,75.00 2- 1600cc feul injectors,,,130.00 2- 1050cc stock secondaries,,,,60 ea.
