    I am trying to come to P F but not sure at this point, I just returned from japan. I dont need the foam but my support was rusty and i dont wanna chance it since its the major protection factor in a front end crash.....

    I know you can run e 85 in any later model vehicles. as far as damage to the tank? metal or plastic ect? It will damage lines and is supposed to use a modified fuel pump and a couple of other things. from research it takes about 1100 bucks to make the changover in a ford 5.4 truck. for lines pump and some misc items. however, In most cases the e 85 has been getting less mpg than gasoline so? I agree there is no reason for switching 1100 in parts out and getting a tune for e 85 (which may help efficiancy) if you are not saving anything. unless you are an envio nut and if you were you would have a turbo metro not a starion.!

     

    good luck on your choices but i would get on some legit sites and find out what is needed. I know my father runs e85 in my moms car occasionally and claims it runs better after a tank of e85... i think its just the 40 miles per tank... difference..

    Tring to get one semi local.. like maybe within an hour or two of macon. I dont think it matters much but its for a wide body. I hope to start my assembly after 4th of july weekend when i get finished painting the engine bay.

    being a honda guy.. built and raced single and dohc engines.. I am assuming its a civic? they are becoming more expensive every day. But i will tell you nothing and i mean nothing I dont care how good you are or anybody you know will come close to the reliability it had if you rebuild it. even with honda parts.. Buy an engine... for Honda cars www.h-motorsonline is an awsome place i have bought many.

    pm me with the type of car you have and i can tell you what motors you can use without major modifications..

    intact.. complete head to toe.. with tb ect no turbo 450 pick up....... turbo extra.....

    motor has 70xxx miles i dont need it for the 4g swap. Willing to take trades plus cash for seats (88-89) black leather in excellent shape or aftermarket seats.

    Also need a front bumper support and a perfect set of wheels SHP preferred of coarse. Or of all things if someone had an 83 hood laying around gathering dust.

     

     

    I also have a block with crank rods flywheel pistons if anybody needs any of that.

     

    trades and cash No IOU's and wont hold it without $$$ first come first serve like Mc Donalds....

    i moderated a board years ago.. with less than 1000 members and most were honda guys... Well young people who know everything.. so i feel ya.. atleast its not a date a drama board...constantly deleting threds gets really old....

    i went thru this years ago.. I know folks fromcali that have been ticketed for them.. i think my old rci harnesses were legal. but they had no tensioner so it was rather noncompliant when it came to daily driving.. not to mention you need to either have (as previously mentiononed) a roll bar, a shoulder level or above mounting point or a hardmonted belt bar also above your sloulder line. because of the style and type of belts (harnesses) if you are in a crash and they are mounted to the floor without the proper equipment it crushes yor body and puts undo strain on your back,,,,

    i think they are resonable. I paid more than thet for my old ones..... and i assume they are obsolite because i cant find them anywhere,,,

     

    if they are aproved there will ba a tag that says d.o.t copmliant xxx blabal and some other crap...

    Looks like im heading for Japan after this weekend....I will try and stay in touch but dont know how the internet will be. It could be limited or as in germany down right expensive.. So if i find something i will try and send it home and have my wifey post it up. Lots of pictures to come and maybe some RHD parts too. Not for me because i think our cars are so much sexier than thiers. I be digging around local yards abd lots for sure... If any body has anything in paticular you are looking for post it up and i will pm ya. Warning large things shipped from japan often get seized stolen or just simply lost. I used to get a lot of honda parts sent to me. but interior stuff or small inexpesive things...... let me know.
