  1. I vote for the Gto, although i have never personsally driven the s2k. I haven't really heard anything about the leaking rear ends, the 06's had issues with leaking front struts and the stock radius rods are junk, but most people have had them changed out. The main differences in the years are: 04's got the ls1 with 350hp and had a different rear bumper (single exit exhaust) and no hood scoops, the 04's also had smaller brakes than the 05-06's. The 05-06 got the dual exhuast, hood scoops, and the 400hp ls2, they also got the larger pbr brakes, there was also the option for the 18" wheels on the 05-06's. But anyways here is why I am partial to the GTO's. http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac296/BOM06gto/gto/IMG_0975.jpg http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac296/BOM06gto/gto/IMG_0960.jpg My 06 Brazen Orange GTO.
  2. One other car that you might look into is the GTO's also. I just picked up an 06 which has the 400hp ls2. They are kind of the unknown, you don't see very many of them. The 04 had the LS1 and the 05-06 has the LS2. There is a big aftermarket for them and the interior is very comfortable. They are a cheaper than the z06 but have close to the same performance (I've done a 70-125 run on interstate against an c5 z06 and he barely pulled on me.)
  3. Bump... Somebody needs to pick this thing up.. all the hard work and $ of getting it reliable has been done. I just went and replaced the thermostat in the car today (the car went from running right at halfway on the gauge to about 5/8, and i didnt like that so i went and got a new thermostat, ended up getting a 160 degree for it) took it for a half hour drive and it barely made it over the 1/8th mark on the gauge. ^ that is how i have been with the car the whole time i have owned it, the only thing that i didnt get around to is the power steering gearbox, and the cv boots. The only reason that i haven't done them is that I don't have a place that i can let the car sit if I don't get it done in a day, and i can only keep one car where i live, which is why this car is getting sold. Would be willing to help in delivering it within 100 or so miles.
  4. Bump....$2500.00 for this weekend only, i need this car gone this weekend.

  8. Bump... Took it to Columbus this weekend and it ran great, had no problems with it. Will try to get some new pictures up tonight, the car looks great right now, i finally had some time to clean it this weekend and besides the noted flaws in the paint i thought it looked really good.
  9. I will most likely be coming up on Saturday. Jason
