  1. I seen the post of you selling the Engine... Do you have a running 1000 hp engine in your car is my question? And if you do..., you obviously must have a dyno sheet since you obviously had to dyno your car to know that it is making a 1000hp... DJ
  2. Seen a few posts you have mentioned that in... How about a dyno sheet? DJ
  3. well i dont wanna let the cat out of the bag yet all i can say is theres a hint in my sig. im looking to make about 900whp but well see. WOW , that sounds serious !!!!! Best Regards PS: check-out my sig too !! xtremeboost, you want to make 1000hp?
  4. How does a 2J have smaller displacment than your engine? I know the G54B has potential and I think it's cool you want to make one make mega hp, you would just obviously have more potential with a 2J or even an RB26... How much hp are you looking to make anyways? And what are you doing to the engine that most people only dream of? I am not trying to mock you by the way, I am just curious... DJ
  5. Why wouldn't you choose either engine? Are you saying that you would rather spend the money it would cost for a 2J or RB swap on the G54B? Because all you have to do on either engine is turn the boost up and you have an instant 400hp... Bolt on's will get you to 800hp on the 2J and the 2J's are good for nearly 1000hp on stock internals... The RB is only good to about 500hp on stock internals though that is why the 2J is a better choice and you can make more power with the 2J, even the guys on the skyline forums agree that the 2J is a better engine than the RB... So if you want a Conquest that makes over 400-500 hp the choice is simple. However if your goal is 300hp than an engine swap is useless... DJ
  6. DJ what's up man! I haven't seen you on here for years! Those tailights are tough!! I'd put a set in! Hey man, not much. Decided to to get another quest so I figured I would take a peek around the site and see what's new... Check out my post in Engine Swapers? DJ
  7. Those headlights would look cool if done right. But those tail lights are BADA$$ DJ
  8. If a fiberglass/bondo job is done properly it should last the life of the car. You don't see corvette's driving around with the fiberglass panel's bubbling off of them. Make sure you cut out all of the rotted area. You should hammer in the metal around the hole so that when you use the fiberglass and plastic filler you can sand everything smooth and level with the undamaged face of the panel. When you fiberglass the hole you should make sure that you do a good job so that the fiberglass is waterproof(a couple coats of resin over fiber mat)so as to eliminate the possiblity of the plastic filler getting moisture into it as that will bubble if wet. After the fiberglass job you should coat the inside of the panal with some epoxy primer and then undercoat and what I always do is use a can or two of foam so that water can't ever get back in. It may be difficult to get at the inside of the panel but I would even go as far as cutting the inner panel out to get at the inside of the outter panal then tacking it back into place, seam sealing it, coating it... I have been doing body work for 10+ years and living in NY I have fixed a lot of rust, I have yet to see a car rust out again (in the same spot) after repairing as stated. I would definatly paint your car. DJ ps-where do you live? I'de do the hole job on your car for around 2 grand.
  9. I have been shopping for a R32 Clip and found them for about $4500 with everything (suspention/tranny/diff's/axles/ect...). If it wasn't for the fact of a rock solid AWD setup I would go with a 2JZ since it is a superior engine. I believe I can set the car up with AWD if I use the suspention and control arms from the R32 which means I will probably have to do something with the steering like a rack&pinion from a 240sx. Some custom fabrication with the unibody to mount everything to the Starquest will also have to be done. I know a lot of you are probably reading this thinking I am some dip$hit with high hopes and dreams but I am no Novice when it comes to fabrication. If I can cut a car in half and weld a half of another car together on a frame rack then I can certainly pretty much fabricate anything I want. I think this would be a trick set-up and if done correctly (which it will be) I should be able to get in a few magazines without a problem. I have been thinking about this swap for a long time and finally decided on it. I would like to know what all of your thoughts are. Thanks for reading... DJ
  10. The 2JZ is superior to the RB, hands down, no questions asked... DJ
  11. If the dyno really were from a tbi g54b it would be making a hell of a lot more torque that horsepower, no g54b on the planet makes more hp than torque let alone 100 more hp than torque... If you look at the power band you can easily tell that it's not even a turbocharged car...
  12. This belongs on the BS forum, because thats what it is...BS. 100 More HP than torque on the G54B...? Not in a million years, it should be the other way around. So that means hes making around 200 more hp than he should be, if you dyno 400 torque with a G54B then you will most likely have around 325hp, and this guy is making 175hp more than what a typicall G54B would make given the torque... Look how high the Torque is at 2500 rpm, with a GT35R you won't be making much boost if any at all that low in the RPM range, not only that but to keep the power coming that high in the r's would mean a big cam, which means no low end torque... This look's a lot like a supercharged 4.6... DJ
  13. But even when you remove that plastic peice in the drivers quarter panal you still can't get behind the outter skin of the quarter, there is still an inner skin that would need to be cutout... DJ
  14. Who said that I said that you made it up man? I've never bought fabric directly from the dealer, only our distributors, 99.9% of the interiors we did were custom we never really had a reason to only need such a small amount. I don't know why your getting all bent out of shape about this... And your sarcasm is a bit on the childish side... DJ
