I have an MSD Blaster 2 coil for sale. never used, but removed from the package. asking 30 shipped.
I also have a set of NGK blue spark plug wires, also brand new but removed from teh box. asking 35 shipped.

need the front electrical harness (connects to the headlights, relays, ect) from an 89 or compatible. please let me know.

The timer is in great condition. i can get pics up tonight. its the HKS type 1 (black w/ blue lighting). No harness, just the timer.

I have an 89 engine wiring harness for sale w/ links. nothing wrong w/ it, just bought the wrong harness (needed the electrical harness). = $80
Halman MBC (evolution RX w/ cockpit adjustment knob) = SOLD
HKS Turbo timer type 1 (black) = $50
Autometer Sport-Comp boost gauge w/ blue LED bulb = SOLD
or if u have the electrical harness im looking for i will setup a trade.

so i picked up an 89 quest tsi shp the other day for $500. according to the seller, it starts and runs fine. has a new 14b and fuel pump. when i went to go pick it up though, it would crank but no start. i think it just needed gas but i didnt feel like trouble shooting it in his drive way so i towed it home. list of things that are currently wrong w/ it:
bad rings - smokes under boost
horrid wiring in the engine bay
headlights were disconnected to power the fans, which went out
missing AC line
hole in the IC
needs new tires
missing turbo to ic pipe, previous owner removed his BOV
removed boost gauge previous owner had an aftermarket one he removed
so i got it home, i just wanted to run down my checklist of things to get it back to running status:
already got:
new coil and msd 6a box -$60 (woohoo)
DSM 1st gen BOV /pipe and flange - $40
boost gauge - free
1st gen maf - $25
tires - $100
still need:
new rings
new wires - NGK
new plugs - NGK
new intake/exhaust mani gaskets
new head gasket
new o2 sensor
new cap and rotor
new belts
new thermostat
new fuel filter
AC line (missing a piece)
also plan to:
redo engine bay wiring
replace all vacuum lines
reset TPS and IAC
clean TB and fuel system
new fluids
is there anythign else i should be doing or looking for? i found the 88 manual on line, but where can i get a good vacuum diagram for the engine, and a complete wiring schematic? where would be the best place to get the above parts i still need? i found a bunch at my local autozone and checker, but i just want to make sure im gettin the best deal. dont need nothing fancy, i just need to get it running for now. i plan to do a complete build up later in the year anyway.
