  1. I've sold my car without the seats and the bolt-on kit and moving on to the next project. My bolt-on kit is for sale for $550.00, plus shipping (considering the weight, around $50 to $100). Complete with all the screws and bolts, instructions that came with it. Very straight forward install, the only special tool you would need is a grinder to clear the kit and put it flush on the inner fender. This kit worked perfect on my car. No broken pieces, shocks are solid and only used for a year. No need to cut or extend the electricals, our cars' door wires are (too) long enough to clear a vertically-opened door. You don't have to weld any part on the car. Half-day install for tuners, 3-4 hours for professionals. I was very happy with this mod and I'm hoping for a fellow starquest member to enjoy it as much as I did. I'm willing to help out on the install through phone or email if needed.

  3. Anyone has one in-stock, new or used? It's where the accordion meets the turbo "lip".

Part Number on the rubber itself is MD068396-R1. The one that's on my turbo is almost split in half.

    Or a silicone rubber replacement?

Inputs? Help. I'll pay for part and shipping to Ontario, Canada.

    Thanks!

  4. Here are basic things you need if you want generic led bulbs for your tails. Plus, buy the electronic flasher with it. DIY tips.

Location of the flasher: Driver side panel, under the dash. Far left is the Electronic Flasher.

    Enjoy the install.

Well, before I installed the led mod, I cleaned the tail light by opening the unit with a heat gun. These open up real quick, then I spray painted the background black. My spare set of tail lights will be all red. I re-sealed the unit using automotive clear sealant

Thanks to those who gave their tips and hope this helps someone else!

  5. stock, the Hazard flasher unit is a round silver one. The turn signal flasher unit is a black rectangular box, has clips on the longer vertical sides (when mounted) Although it's a different shap, it has the same plugs, and it right next to the round silver one for the hazards

thanks man. i'll check that tom. good info!

  6. ok guys, so i got the electronic flasher for $8. easy swap so i thought that was it.............

then, but still didn't make the signals blink/flash.

is there 2 separate blinkers for hazard and signals? or is it just one unit.

i only found one right under the kick panel driver's side. or am i missing some thing here.

    any help or comments appreciated.

  7. Your stock flasher is a thermal unit that relies on the heavier load of standard bulbs. You need an electronic flasher, I think the number's EL12. It'll cost you $10-$12, but it should fix the issue. Keep your standard 1157's in the glove box, and check your LEDs regularly. They may or may not last. Some guys have trouble with them.

are you familiar into wiring it. where is the stock flasher anyway? and do i have to replace this or just add the electronic flasher.

    thanks to your reply!

  8. You'll need an electronic blinker for LED bulbs, and even at that it sometimes requires a resistor wired in parallel with the lights to get it to blink.

would you know the specs of that blinker, part number?

it already has a resistor within the bulb. what's a mystery to me is that the 4-way hazard works and blinks perfect. why not on signals?

  9. so i installed the generic red 1157 led bulbs (cluster of led bulbs fromed like a regular bulb) to replace my factory 1157 bulbs. nice and bright!

park light works, brake lights work, 4-way hazard lights work......

LEFT AND RIGHT SIGNAL LIGHTS DO NOT WORK. they just go bright but doesn't blink/flicker.

HELP! do i need to attach a new blinker for LEDs? add a resistor?

any of you guys had this problem on your tail light mods? i would appreciate any inputs.
