  1. it is supposed to straighen out the air that is coming from under the car. In high speed applications, it will create a low pressure area behind the car and actually "suck" the air from under the car helpng create downforce. On a street car, its for nothing but looks.
  2. No, I am warning him of people like you that make something better and new to waatch his back, cause people like you like to make personal attacks.
  3. BlewbyU, and anyone else I was talking to im IM/email, No only 2 hoods will be made. NONE AFTER THAT.
  4. Hey SVO, since you seem to have "miracurously" found my Ebay name(which by the way to everyoneesle here, I NEVER POSTED So you must be the dumb son of a complain that did post the negitive about the Kit information I did. I do not have to explain any farging thing I do to YOU, or anyone else. Conquest hoods,( or should I say scotty/Svo/ or shawn) whichever one of the dumba**es you are shove it up your a** an spin. Its YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU that are pissing 99 percent of the people off on these boards for removing a supplier of a true aftermarket hood, and not some crapity stock 83 style. If the moderators here actually did their job, they would have removed you from these boards a long tme ago for treating people like this, that are doing nothing more then making a hood option other then your "hood" that according to others that have emailed me, say you only sell, maybe once a year, and only 2-3 at a time. Shawn, I think your header looks lik pouried s***. You should not be able to se welds. And to paint it with the high temp aluminum paint, just makes it look worse. **Address removed by moderator** I got 2 desert eagles waiting... and a police chief in my pocket... and the number 2 states attourney as a sister in law...
  5. Be carefull selling on this board is my advise.
  6. Fine, you fuckers want it, you got it. 2 hoods. No more. The page is being taken down in a matter of seconds now. You people know who to thank. Tim_c remove this user from the club, I am outta here. I am sick of the s***.
  7. The pics that are on the site now are almost a week old. The hoods is now finish sanded, and ready for gelcoat. Don't talk about s*** you have no clue about. I again was stating my OPINION. HOW THE HELL CAN YOU TELL ME MY OPINION IS WRONG? I KNOW HOW MUCH THINGS COST TO MAKE. I NEVER SAID THESE WOULD BE CARBON FIBER. THAT WAS SOMEONE ELSES' POST NOT MINE Get your facts straight. I won 2 auctions that I refused to pay. 1. for an aluminum intake for my camaro that the seller wanted $50 to ship the item 2 states. 3. The other negitive post was some dipshit that I spent over an hour on IM making sure he knew what he was getting, and even going through the steps online with him to SHOW HIM THE INFORMATION. He also dod not pay for the auction either. 4. I refused to pay for the TBI rebuild kit that was availible for ordering from auto zone for less then half the price. I informed the seller not a day after placing the bid that I was no longer interested and to delete my bid. The other feed back was for a semi polished intercooler off my 87, that the guy somehowe wanted a better looking intercooler. I posted pics of the intercooler, which it had NO DAMAGE, 7 bent fins and was as stated before, semi polished. I have saold over 100 items on ebay. Unfourtunately the feedback is not there to show it. I have sold at least 70 AEM fuel rails, a set of camaro T Tops, camaro fenders, hood, doors, computer parts ect... YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE f*** YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT SO SHUT THE f*** UP. I DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS, SO THERE IS NO ISSUE TO RESOLVE. I never said ALL of that will be availible in a matter of months, again get your info straight before making acusations. I do recall however that I stated I will be making those parts for MY CAR. And NOTHING was stated about me having them for general sale. I stated that I would not pay those prices for something that I can make myself for less the 1/4 of what they were being sold for. Please by all means people keep pushing it. PLEASE. You'll only see 2 of these hoods. And one will be mine and the other richies. Afterall that is ALL I AM COMMITTED TO MAKING RIGHT NOW. And quite frankly I am more then willing to have spent $150 to make 2 hoods. Hel,l that is far less then half the price that ANYONE HERE would charge for such a hood.
  8. Chris... If I only sell 1 hood for a couple hundered, I make the money back that I have spent so far. As far as making a product for general sale, I will. But only a certain number. If a number of people can agree on another design(by any means they want- (I WILL NOT BE INVOLVED IN IT), then approach me with it off the boards. I WILL CONSIDER MAKING IT. ALL DETAILS WILL BE DISCUSSED OFF THE BOARDS. Shawn.. I so not care about your input. PERIOD. I don't think that I have an inflated ego. I think that you, Scotty and others do. I am curious as to just why you (including the others) are so threatened by me? That was great advise you gave about keeping the mouth shut, you just gave it to the wrong people. You should try it yourself, along with a number of other members of this "board". There isnothing wrong with posting opinins of a product, but I never NEVER started personally attsacking someone first. Everyhitng that I posted was in self defense of my person. If people would have stuck to posting opinions of a product, maybe the levels of hate for people would have stayed low and you could have kept a potential supplier of parts here and active. I can see why no parts are made by any large companies will make any kind of runs for this group. There is too much hate for anyone that even tries. I came here saw what was being made, and posted my personal opinion of it. If you cannot take the critisim of others, maybe you should not make anything. Why am I stopping after this one hood type on this board? I am tired of persaonal attacks.
  9. No, actually shawn, I am giving more back to the boards with the developement of these hoods. These boards have given me nothing. Unless you want to include hastle. This may have started with me posting my opinion of the looks and price of your "header", but I could care less about it now. I am making all the parts I want for my car and avoiding overpriced sellers like yourself. Your "cam gear" I will make on my own, but mine will be stainless steel ring, with polished aluminum "adjusting" mechanisim, and a stainless connecting hub to the cam. Cost? not even close to your $200. try 60-70 bucks and the time to put into making it. Your "header" of mixed metals... Mine all stainless. no mixed metals, and cost around 150 and the time to make. Don't worry, I will post pics of everything that I finish for my car.
  10. http://www.geocities.com/v6sucker
  11. I will make 11 hoods. Period. 1. to Richie. Couple to ebay. Rest to be sold directly through my web site. Interested? let me know. I will post finished pics of the hood, and that is all. I will also make a modified lower spoiler for my car, and my car only. I will make modified fenders for my car, and my car only. If you are wondering why? ask the boards, I am tired of getting crap from everyone. I will full-fill what I said and will make 10 max for general sale and that is all. Prices are NOT garranteed to reamin at $325 anymore. As you can quess, any parts I decide to make from now on, will be for my car, unless I incur higher costs than I expect, then I will make a few extra and sell them. So yes, ALL PARTS will be very short and VERY FEW production peices and will be og the highest quality, and look the part.
  12. I will make 2 hoods. Period. Of which none will be for general sale. You have SVO, Shawn and scotty to thank. I have requested Tim to delete this user name, and all my threads from the data base. Have fun!
  13. I'd be in for that. will take time to make the hoods(for the cash) to buy but, hell yeah. I need a new head anyway...
  14. tisk tisk... If the market "goes to the dogs" that means that people will get what they want, and not be kept hanging on empty promises...
  15. wire mesh I think would be a good investment too those that are worried. Just remember that the rock/debris has to be small enough to fit between the pad and the rotor, which I will say is less then a tenth of an inch. Probly closer to say, would have to be smaller then the thickness of 4 pices of paper.
  16. that all depemds on the resin used.
  17. people were not complaining about the SUspension bushings, it was the engine, trans, rear end mounts that people wanted softer.
  18. I am not knocking you as a person. I am sure your a nice guy and all. It's just some of the ways you do business. To tell someone one thing(at one time) then say something else later is flat out wrong.
  19. FastnFurious, I never said I was going to use "glad bags". I do remeber stating that I would be using propper film. The parts that I have made for past cars were not "hacked" togeather either. I had access to a propper vacuum generator when I made a couple a fiberglass parts. And I did indeed use it for pure "fear" of it coming out wrong. However, the freind that had it suggested me buying a 5 HP shop vac and check its Vac. compasity. I said "WHAT!, you've got to be joking!". Well I did. And it actually made more Vac, then his $300 generator, and has adapters that go down to the 1 1/4" tube assembly for the hoses needed. In fact that $50 shop vac geberated well over 40 PSI of vac. Well above the suggested "28". And when coupled with a diaphram all you need to do is let the vac run for 5 min and shut it off, dissconnect the tube and let it cure. Now, what I was saying about making my own Poly Poly-hybrid bushings was pertaining to the engine, trans and rear end mounts. As far as the actual suspension bushings that hold suspension arms, and anti-roll bars you want the stiffest possible. When you have THOSE stiff, no the ride is not harsh, it is firmer through the turns only. Which BTW is a good thing. BUT if you have a modded engine, or just want it moving less there is a BIG difference between rubber, and Poly, or Poly-Hybrid. Rubber allow smooth, rattle less(so to speak) and Poly is very harsh and transmitts nearly every single movement to YOU the driver. Which can either be good or very bad. Now, as for the Hybrid I know that different materials cure at different rates(hello Fiberglass worker) and they would be done in stages to compensate. The header design that I dod not like happens to come from experiance. If you go more then 1/2" between 2 firing cylinders, you will have a collision of exhaust. 2 pulses tring to get through the same spot. UNLESS yo stager the firing cylinders to oppisite sides of the manifold. Yes I DO know what I am talking about, and I am not talking out of my (_|_) as you say I am. Am I offering ANYTHING for the Conquest? NO. May I offer anything for the Conquest? Maybe yes, Maybe no. That has yet to be determined. But I do know that IF I do offer SPECIFIC parts, they will be of high quality and not cost an arm and a leg like many charge, simply because they can. Nad that is EXACTLY what many companies do, they charge high prices, cause plain and simply no one else makes the part. Am I saying I will sell dirt cheap, no. I have bills, and this would be the main way of getting the cash to build up my quest to one of the baddest mothers out there. But does that mean I am going to charge more then what it is worth? no. I take many things into account. IE, if I am going to make the parts for my car anyway, or would be cheaper to invest in machinery that can do double duty for multiple prospective parts, will be bought without hesitation when I have the cash. IE my latest addition being a Pro Mig welder that will build both my header and intake with ease. Cost... 475 so far. Cost for header elsewhere... 4-700. cost for intake (MPI) again 4-700. My next thing will be a manual mill. I will convert to CNC at a later time, after all stepper motors are pretty cheap right now, and it would be nice to be inside the house goofing around and just have a bell ring when the part is ready to be removed from the mill. So those parts would be cheaper. But if I had to go out on a limb and by equipment specifically for a requested part that maybe only 4-6 people want, you bet your (_|_) the cost will be high per item. I have ALOT of info that I am more then willing to share with anyone who wants it. If I do not know the answer off hand, I know serveral people that would and I can get it. Or research it myself. The difference between people that would like to build their own parts, and people that do is simple. It's called they are not scared to *uck up a couple times. They are willing to learn. They take challenges freely and with glee. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. Hell I repaired 2 fenders the today that I was more then willing to throw in the trash. Reason for repairing them, I wanted the challenge. You know what now?, 1 only needs minor finishing work, or some filler to be perfect. The other is perfect. The header panel that I was workng on that had 5 creases and 11 dents, now only has 4 dents. To get those I either neer to cut and reweld 2 support brackets, or get a small pin hammer used in modeling. I am going to school for IT(networking) you want a real challenge? get all 5 OS systems to talk to each other in a stable enviroment. Systems being Linus, Unix, Windows, Novell and Cisco. Call me when you do or stop your bitchen. I already havesolved that issue. I have 9 computers at home, 5 of which are servers and have those OS' on them, and they all talk stably. I only have to fiddle with Unix every once in a while. The other 4 are work stations BTW.
  20. man what is your problem? So far I have only posted ideas to people that would help them out. If you have a problem with that, TOUGH $HIT. I have posted that I will make some fiberglass parts for my car. The supplies are not cheap, especially when you are a full time student like I am. I am hoping to get started on the 'Glass parts in the next 2-3 weeks. When that starts to happen, yes I will post pics, and possibly offer them for sale in limited numbers. I have many things to do before even THINKING about rebuilding the suspension on the car. But I also know that I do not want to feel like I am driving a paint mixer either. I am a DO IT YOURSELF person, always have and always will. You don't learn crap if your not. Thats how I know all the things I know. he was selling his kit for what? 260 ish? Yes granted I will have to go to a parts store and buy the things that I want to dupicate. And I will not be seeing the fruits of the work for close to 2-3 weeks after I start. And I have always offered the info I learn/gain to others free of charge.
  21. I am just going to say that I am good at Fiberglass work, so making these bushing molds will be no different. I also found a source for 80A Polyurathane that I am gonna make mine out of. Cause granted, yes you want stiff mounts, but as said before going over a full 1/3 over stock will shake you to death. I was also toying the idea of mixed strength, being the harder on the outter edges, softer on the inner. I was thinking that may yield a "progressive" resistance.
