  1. I just ordered two new gaskets from sce i think i will stay with what I know they were 95 a piece , and as far as the trasmission im taking that to the grave lol !
  2. Ive been using sce copper since the 90's just seeing if there was anything new , ive turned 900 crank hp from them easy but they dont last real long .
  3. I have used copper for many years and had good sucess with them but I have been a little out of the loop as of late , just figured I would ask if there are any steel gaskets avail. out there . I have gotten the bug again to mess with it any help would be thanked.
  4. Definetly interested give me a call 443 744 7570
  5. Well I would have say that fun is a matter of opinion not a fact , and as far as placeing in some kind of test I feel that based on my hard work and being a broke guy for the most part of racing my car even to this day the car still seems to be impressing people , Im not a cocky guy anyone who has met me will tell you , but for a 10 th grade drop out who has absolutely NO proffesional training in the auto field , its all been trial and error I built my intercooler BY HAND , my transmission bellhousing BY HAND NO MACHINE WORK , do you know I called top end performance about 11 years ago and I told them I had ran 11.90 on a stock turbo and pistons that I litterally pulled out of the mud that were behind my house from and old motor and a 75 hp shot and they told me I was full of crap and that it was not possible , well I had the damn time slip to prove it , and I was 24 at the time had a 6 year old and a two year old that I had to take out the car seats to run down the track, so I guess I was doing somthing right for not having years of experiance . And as far as the longevity commment that to me was the pointless comment did John Force care about longevity ,was he worried about a road trip? This Is not an attack on you its mearly a response to the comment, so dont take it to personally.
  6. Are you kidding! are you really that board that you had to make a rediculas comment like that apparantly you have never driven a car that has more than 350 hp , these cars are fun at any hp, but I would have to put money on it that any one that owns one of these cars would not agree with you ,and let me say my car went 10.40 ON PUMP GAS in 1999 or so and I drove the car back and fourth to work 20 miles each way Ive put appox. 40 thousand miles on that engine build AND ITS STILL SOLID AS A ROCK and still making over 500 hp on the dyno so put that in you pipe and smoke it! I have to say that I look at peoples number of posts to gauge how much time there working on there car vrs behind a computer .mmmmm.
  7. Very soon me and Chris are going to the track !and we will definetly take vid
  8. It was about 1999 and the record was 7.48 by torres "sakura"I was at atco raceway in new jersey when he made one of his record breaking passes 98 or so we had some head gasket issues and he invited me and Chris into his trailer and he was not hesitant about telling us information and showing us internals of the spare engine's, but the new record is a 99 mitu eclipse 6.98 Brent Rau with a 4g63 .
  9. The head on the car is just about stock execept for the springs and some mild port work actually more like a clean up in the ports and thats it, and the cam is a mild cam from schnider nothing special ,and to reply to 1600 mile road trip comment , show me a post where it was claimed that we could or gave a crap about taking a road trip with that car , if I want to go on a road trip we will take one of our nice comfy suv's . ooh and we can run pump fuel in our cars all day long we will just only make 550 or so at the weels thats all.

  11. Thanks for the info , it is for the red tubed out car that we have we just did a complete engine rebuild and thats all we are short , but we will try that.
  12. I need at least one valve retainer from an old solid rocker head the retainers are different than the hydrolic ones ,we are putting the motor together and we are short one if anyone out there has one please let me know thankx in advance. Rob Baker.
  13. If you want to try metal listen to Pyramaze , Iced Earth (the best band ever) , Avenged Sevenfold , All that remains and if you dont like metal well then I feel sorry for you .
  14. its the same setup ive always had i just have a 60-1 turbo instead of a sv trim compressor the specs are on the 300+ thread.
  15. I just ran on the dyno the past couple of days and put down 430 on motor with no problem @27 psi .
  16. You are correct, I do have tendencie to over analyise everything I do it with everything I could turn a 10 sec run into a halfhour conversation.
  17. I would have hoped that someone by now had surpassed my 10.40 run, its been almost 10 years and to be honest it really wasnt that hard to get the car to go those times and I was still on 93 fuel and drove the car everyday to work and back 50 miles a day,I could have easily stripped the car down and went 9's but I didnt want a trailer car and still dont and it was done with the origanal motor NOT A SWAP OUT for an easy route. Not that I dont think swaps are cool I just like the 2.6 better. Not meaning to sound cocky Ill offer any input I can to anyone, these cars still have what it takes to compete with any new car out there .
  18. Thanx for the help on the brake lines , all this time and im supprised no one has surpassed my et's yet ,it looks like a few of you have the right setups ? I just weighed my car with the new corner balancing scales we have at the shop and it weighed 2741 with no driver.
  19. Im going to get some new video soon and some pics to post. If anyone knows where I can get steel braided brake lines let me know , I could just have them made but that's a hassel.
  20. EIP no longer exists Im with a company called IAG who specilize in subaru performance I do all of my automotive tinting through them.
  21. Im crossing my fingers that nothing is going to break everything seems to be very smooth, the tec II still has the same program in it from 9 years ago and im kinda suprised that it started right up . I was going to use two bosch fuelpumps but I used one areomotive t1000 instead. I would like to go to the track again but ofcourse I dont want to run the risk of breaking somthing a week after getting it on the road, but i will shoot for a 9 sec pass soon.
  22. about 2000 I got out of racing all together but kept the car, I had to put a fuel cell, fuel pump and a turbo back on it and that was all , Ive driven it out on the road a few times the last couple of days and it feels like where i left off 8 or so years ago.
