  1. Ordered the hub assy last night from driftmotion. I also had to remove a broken bolt from the bearing retainer and I need an input shaft and bearing seal. I guess I did a poor job of inspecting the trans when it came in.
  2. Just realized I don't have the clutch release bearing hub assy. Where can I find this quick?
  3. Didn't get anything done today. Just too tired... did get some goodies in tho. This leads to another question. With the engine and trans out of the car is it possible to install the flywheel and clutch assy on the engine first than slide the trans in or does the clutch assy still need to be on the input shaft first? Thanks http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps136d7556.jpg
  4. Wow, thanks for taking the time to post that info and pics. I was so excited I came home after working a 14 hr day, bypassed the wife and kids and went straight into the garage and started separating the plug and relay from the harness. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps8662ca04.jpg
  5. Thanks a lot man. I really appreciate all the help. I just ordered a gas tank from a guy in Houston and I had to order a complete ignition switch and lock/key set as well. The ignition switch was torn up pretty bad like someone tried starting the car with a freaking screwdriver. I got the car for a really cheap price but after replacing the tank, calipers, discs, all the suspension, brake lines, fender and 6-bolt rear it wont seem like a good deal. I may just use this shell as the catalyst to get the motor in and running until I can find another fiji quest. As for the fuel, Im getting rid of all the stock hard lines and will be running an line for feed/return. Thanks again.
  6. Are you talking about the relay next to the ecu? Right now all I want to do is get the motor in, run fuel and get it started. Got to figure out a cheap way to control fuel for initial startup. Maybe a safc? How did u guys run fuel anyway? I'm going to run an aeromotive 340l pump, and I also have an inline Bosch 044. Injectors are 750's. I'm sure 6an feed/return will support 5-600hp. Thanks
  7. Got the tunnel opened up...hopefully its enough. It now measures 11" at the opening and 10, maybe 10-1/4" midways in. I didn't have a bottle jack and I left the air chisel at work. I used a cheapo scissor jack I had sitting in the garage. I ground down the rod that went thru the nut on the end and slapped on a 19mm socket over it. I used a 3/8" air ratchet on it...took literally 15 minutes to do it this way. Also removed the crap from under the pass side dash, ecu and engine harness. Also ordered my flywheel last week. Who knows maybe I can get the motor in next weekend. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zpsedb54d3e.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps0ad3246b.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps811f6593.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps88f5e996.jpg
  8. Thanks. Found a tank. Lmk about complete key/lock/ignition set and rotors. Pm me with a price shipped to SA, tx thanks
  9. How much for... Gas tank w/ sending unit, all four brake calipers, front rotors, ignition switch assy with key? Need tank ASAP Thanks
  10. This is what I am planning on using on the trans tunnel. I am going to grind down the chisel flat...in theory it should make quick work of it. We will see... in the meant time, anyone have a clean gas tank and sender available? I removed mine last month and it was completely fubar. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zpsd66114e6.jpg
  11. Ok good to know. I appreciate your help.
  12. Nah AC is gone along with just about every other amenity. At this point I hope the head lights work. The popup mechanism would be a plus haha. I thought that existing hole in the fw had to be widened a bit. Thanks for mentioning that about the ribs in the tunnel. Now I know exactly what needs to be done. We have beading air guns at work that might do this job if my compressor will keep up. I hope to have more updates next week. Thanks again.
  13. Thanks. IMO it took me way to long...the car is really in bad shape. Most of the bolts/nuts that come off are rusted and a lot of of the body panels are rusted as well. next on the list; finish removing engine harness, gut out everything out under the passenger side dash, open up hole in firewall for Toyota harness, open up trans tunnel.... in that order. As for the tunnel, I like the idea of the bottle jack so I will try that first. Need to go thru the threads to see exactly where and how much it needs to widen. Thanks again.
  14. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps203a45dc.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zpsbaa80d9f.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps437379e3.jpg Engine bay is about ready. Need to start hammering out trans tunnel now.
  15. Thanks. Daughter had a band recital this evening so I didn't get much done today. I will get some specific pics posted up of the hacked wiring in the next day or two. Done...good stuff, thank you. Thanks again fellas.
  16. Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. Unfortunately the previous owner hacked up some of the wiring under the dash and down near the ecu. The more I can eliminate the better. I think I bit off as much as I can chew with this car, maybe a little more.
  17. what is this small harness used for? its the one on the passenger firewall right next to the clutch fluid res . also correct me if I am wrong but since there is an open connection now, I need to run a brake line from the proportion valve to the master cylinder right? thankshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps3a861493.jpg
  18. Thanks. I am sure I will have more questions. I believe I am over analyzing a lot of these things...as for those three relays on the passenger side, I am going to get rid of them. I am going to run an aftermarket fan controller. Thanks again.
  19. Thanks. I am in the process of removing that harness and stock ecu. The more I dig into it the more rust pops up. The under carriage looks ok so I am not too worried about it. I got the cams from a member over on supraforums.com. These particular cams came out of a 94 supra tt motor usdm...I am not sure what other motor these are in sorry. As for my swap, things have been moving slowly. Plan right now is to clean up the engine bay. Teaching myself how to bondo...getting rid of the unused brackets and holes on the passenger side for now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zpsef1eb0ba.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zpsb55835db.jpg
  20. I'm digging that heat shield. Well done.
  21. Can someone please tell which of this wiring, relays etc...can be complete removed from the engine bay for this swap? As you can see, it needs quite a bit of cleaning. Thankshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps914e181c.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps1adf9403.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps5cf0570d.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps914e181c.jpg
