  1. Yes, the MAS is no longer necessary! I installed a cold air intake from an 89 Prelude and built a custom air box to keep engine heat out. It sounds really cool... like a jet taking off. It really turns heads when the turbo spools up! The installation is very easy and help is only a phone call away!
  2. It is official... five people have paid and the discount is 5% The units will start shipping real soon. For those of you who still want a unit but could not participate this time I'll setup another GP later in the summer. Aloha from Maui (it's a tough life)
  3. I'm sure that there are at least five people! I will have the list soon. Some folkes have paid via a check and it takes a couple of days for those to arrive. I asked for everyone to send me an email if they have paid and some people did, some people did not.
  4. The IAV-1 display will allow you to tune the system. I am supposed to be getting one soon but since I have not seen the unit I can't give you first hand experience. Let me find out the details around the capabilities of this and I will get back to you. I will also post a shipping schedule just as soon as I can get one! BTW, I just put a cold-air intake from a 89 Prelude on my Quest with a home made cold air box to keep engine heat out of the intake. The sound it makes when I spool up the turbo really turns some heads. Not having a MAS airflow sensor on the intake gives lots of flexibility!
  5. Two people have already purchased the units.... so, that means we only need three more. Chime in people... who has purchased, or will purchase. Let's close this thing out! Summer is almost here. It has been 70+ degrees here in Oregon. Strange weather considering this is usually the rainy season!

  10. Yes, the Group Purchase is officially coming to a close. Most poeple stated that they wantied to wait until mid March to close this GP. It is not mid-March and we need to wrap this GP up. Payment can be in the form of PayPal, VISA, Cashier's check, or what ever will work best for you. Currently the discount is 5% Please make payment arrangement ASAP and we can start shipping the units on a first pay first get basis. 5% off TB-PRO2 is $689.00 and with the IAM-1 is $735.00 (save $39)
  11. OK! It is time to wrap up this GP. Can we decide on a drop-dead date?
  12. The tuning is pretty easy. You will want ot have a passenger do it, or have someone else drive the car while you tune. One way to perform the task is to do a global adjustment using the "required fuel" paramater to make sure that you are running sufficiently rich. Than you can fine tune your "fuel bins" which are comprised of a cross section of RPM and MAP sensor readings. There is also an acceleration enrichment and cold start enrichment. FIP has been working with the StarQuest fuel maps for sometime and I would really be surprised if everything did not work perfectly right out of the box!
  13. Yes, you will want to tell FIP about your setup. Do you have a laptop computer? If so you can do the final tweaking yourself pretty easily. I'm not sure where in FL FIP is located but you can email them at TURBO_BOOSTED@HOTMAIL.COM
  14. [quote author=JustPaus_88TSi Maybe we should put a GP thread over at www.tristarion.com ? Glad to hear your still on board! I'll head over to tristarion and see about that cross-posting
  15. Here are the people that have expressed interest in the TB-PRO2 group purchase as of February 21, 2005: 1 - Slydogg 2 - substock 3 - joec88 4 - JustPaus_88TSi 5 - BaltTSI 6 - charlie31603 7 - MaddMaxx87 - Added on 01/22/05 8 - 2ndQuest - Added 01/31/05 It seems as if we are going backwards. This makes eight so we are currently in the 5% discount range. If we can just find two more people it will knock off another 5%. I need to close this GP out pretty soon. March is almost here. It is possible that a couple of people will join the GP but if not how many people will still be interested?
  16. Yes, we are currently at nine people. It would be nice to have at least a couple more just for insurance.
  17. Here are the people that have expressed interest in the TB-PRO2 group purchase as of February 8,2005: 1 - Slydogg 2 - substock 3 - joec88 4 - JustPaus_88TSi 5 - BaltTSI 6 - charlie31603 7 - silverstar - Added on 01/21/05 8 - MaddMaxx87 - Added on 01/22/05 9 - 2ndQuest - Added 01/31/05 This makes nine so we are currently in the 5% discount range. If we can just find one more people it will knock off another 5%.
  18. Thanks for letting us know JROC 8) You take care of b usiness.
  19. Just added 2ndQuest to the GP and that makes 10. Since most of you have stated that you want to wait until March that gives us another month to get those other five people for the 15% discount! A couple of you have expressed an interest in puchasing your TB-PRO2 now rather than later. If you wish to get yours sooner rather than later PM me and we can talk about the options for doing this.
  20. Sorry, this GP is for the FuelInjectionPro TB-PRO2 setup. If there is enough interest in other FIP products it might be possible to start a new GP. BTW, can everyone who is still interested please communicate the time frame for completing this purchase? You can post here, PM me, or send an email to: john@netgenracing.com thanks!
  21. Welcome aboard! We now have nine... I think everyone will agree that we want at least 10 people to get the 10% discount. As soon as we get ten I will poll everyone for payment and ship dates. I know that several people expressed a desire to use thier tax returns. Everyone should have their w2's and etc real soon!
  22. Just added "silvrstar" to the list of interested starquestors. That makes eight!
  23. Let me check into this and get back to you... I would not think that this would be a problem.
  24. The MAP-3 is the 3 bar map sensor it is used mainly when you are running over 20 psi of boost( 21 is the max for the stanard sensor). When ordered with a kit it is $35.00 extra. And the computers fuel managment program is set-up for it. The idle air valve may be needed in very cold locations to keep the RPM up for warm-up. BTW, I just put the 3-Bar MAP in my car
  25.
