  1. I see, you can add cash ready to my name also. How do I calculate what size injectors I need? What do those TB's usually go for?
  2. Whats the difference between running a 65 or 70mm TB? Does the 70 allow more flow? If so why would you want the smaller one? Chris.
  3. The crankshaft mains are the same on the 2.0 as the 2.6, same with the cam and the rods. The rods I used are new but are for a 2.6. The only differnece between the cranks is the 2.0 has a 8mm shorter stroke. Thats why the 22r pistons must be used because they are 8mm taller than 2.6 pistons.
  4. If I measure the compression on the cylinders how do I calculate the ratio?
  5. Add me to the list, but give me a least a week notice before payment is due. One gasket, and one modded manifold please.
  6. I like it, a true cold air intake. I'm suprized your the first to do this. Make sure to post with completed pics, I wanna see. Chris.
  7. I actually have not check the compression yet, but I did use stock head gasket thickness, and as for clearance that motor becomes an interference fit motor. And I will glady post power curves once it gets to the dyno. Still in the break in period so I havn't really driven it hard but it does seem to have more low end power than the stock motor did but that may be from the head or cam. It seems to have power all the time not just when the turbo spools (hasn't pushed more than a couple psi though.)
  8. I'm taking it out cruising tonight to put some miles on it, but don't worry dave I wont blow it up that quick... And as soon as we dyno it I'll post the results. I should have my G-tech pro soon for a rough idea though.
  9. Today I started my month and a half project or rebuilding and destroking my motor. I read on all the previous post here and thought it would be a good idea. As of now the motor has 1.4 miles on it so I'm not sure what it can do but I will repost when I do. The car is an 88' starion but the motor is out of an 86' conquest. I put the mitsu 2.0 g52b crank in it with new rods (stock length) and toyota 22r pistons .030. The block is bored .050 over to fit the pistons. I used a metal shim head gasket to bolt on the race-preped head with oversized stainless steel valves and fully ported and polished. I also used a 284 cam. The manifolds are stock but it does have a 16g turbo and oversized injecters to match the turbo. The trans is stock but has a clutchmaster stage 3 kevlar clutch. Lightened flywheel and B.S elim kit. Custom 2.5" cat-less exhaust and electronic boost controller. Total cost on the motor rebuild, minus the exhaust, turbo, and ebc is a little about 3k. It's late and I'm tired but I will post individual prices tomorrow. I am really curious if anybody else has destroked a 2.6, if so let me know, if not....hehe good. Chris.
  10. I purchased a full set of clear lense from JustPaus_88TSi and they were shipped the same day I paid and were received a day or two later, nicely packaged and all individualy wrapped. It was all as he said and very fast. Would recommend dealing with him. Have not installed them yet but forsee no problems. Thank You. Chris.
  11. Ordered a power antenna, received a lot sooner than expected. Antenna is in great working condition and even included bracket (which I lost before installation :? ) Excellant to deal with. Thank You. Chris.
  12. On both of those sites you can buy the manifold but you still have to buy the fuel managment seperatly, correct? so at the midwest turbo it would be $500 for the manifold and then another 285 for the injectors, right? And then where do I get the controller for the injecters?
  13. I have been reading all the post on this mpi form and am trying to look into purchasing a magna mpi but I havn't found anything that says who to talk to or where to buy it from...Is there a website or somthing? Also when I buy the manifold do I also have a buy somthing to controll the extra injectors? or does that come with it? Any help appreciated. Chris.
