  1. VERY TRUE. True coilover systems are adjustable rebound/compression valving and cost about 900 dollars from summit for a nice 12 or 16 way? adjustable coilovers made of aluminum. I am going to fab up brackets for this project and hopefully fit the smallest system and get rid of the entire stock rear suspension. Saves appx 20-30lbs- I have yet to decide on the front suspension.
  2. Hey I got em too! Wilwood Prop Valve from summit. It is not expensive either and can save your life. Dont get caught braking at the end of the track at 130 mph without them. You will lose control if you are really trying avoid and obstacle or a bad situation.
  3. It was an inexpensive alternative to a custom manifold, which actually works well..no problem so far
  4. Kronus, You should be getting a Mallory RRFPR, I have bought all SX products for my fuel and I may ask FIP to include an SX regulator instead but the mallory unit also works great since my buddy already has a hurricane system on his starion. As long as there is one thats all...and yes do get a gauge at the regulator so you can monitor at all times! On the T-stat housing situation, I am not sure why FIP chose to have such long pipe to stick out the manfold and the thermostat housing is not much of a "clean" setup, but then agian its better for me since Im getting a custom radiator, I'll fabricate the T-stat housing and modify that water pipe to work with the radiator. On my friends Hurricane setup, we just used the two supplied small block chevy to make a 90 deg bend and used some rad hoses we found on the shelf of a local autozone to route water to the radiator...you just have to see what works for you!
  5. Got the intake..Excellent work just like the last one. Thanks and hope to see the rest of the stuff soon
  6. Hell yea! His car pulls HARD! Should have seen all the EVO's and one SRT claiming 450hp who got roasted by george's exhaust fumes! I did drive in the SRT and @ 22psi, its fast, but not fast enough! George boosted 25psi where at that point the MLS gasket gave up again cant wait for the titan copper gasket to be made....but the performance of the whole car depends on all supporting mods. From turbo all the way to exhaust everything must be up to the task. In engineering terms, you always want to have a safety factor. Lets say Walbro is capable of 500hp, and assuming that the motor is fully built and can handle 500hp, at a safety factor of 2 we multiply that 500x2, thus a 1000hp capable pump is the right choice for the 500hp goal, meaning the pump is never pushed to its full potential, therefore the stress is lower and hence reliability is higher. With my goal of having a daily driver, I need to be sure that every part I have put in the car can perform and are capable of much higher stress than I am going to ever touch. I think my 4" thick, 32" long intercooler (rated at 1250 cfm) is a bit of overkill too, but a T70 turbo will out flow that intercooler! The SX pump has been proven reliable by FIP for 3 years. which is why I am choosing it for my hurricane MPI Setup. Now I think the Aeromotive is a bit of overkill! 500lb flow? Comeone man!
  7. Well Boosted, My good friend and neighbor george, whom I helped install the FIP Hurricane System uses this pump. I am going to use this pump once the FIP manifold arrives and everything is ready to run. George and I have requested 1000CC injectors~ 92 lb/hr from our good friends at FIP. Ofcourse I have upgraded to 1/2 inch lines and using the stock feed (3/8 inch line for return. I got the SX fuel filter to support flow, which has a higher flow rating than the pump so it wont defeat the pump's purpose. Walbro is great ( I still have the walbro pump for when I was using the stock TBI...then replaced it with SX) thought dont get me wrong guys...but when you go all out on MPI setup, Forged internals and etc, You already have spent so much money its just one more reliable and solid performing part that you dont have to worry about later! Plus it sounds mean, looks great, and its not too much more money than walbro ofcourse when comparing the build quality and specs! Just my 2 cents on why I chose it for my build.
  8. sx-1000 fuel pump is I believe is the BEST fuel pump you can find in the market for almost any application, being able to flow very high at low pressures..I dont have the specs in my head, but its a very reliable billet unit with topnotch internals, can run alcohol. AGAIN I BELIEVE its BEST FOR MPI 285 shipped from import power online. its an overkill for TBI setup, hence walbro comes at a better advantage. You can find walbro 255 on ebay cheap. http://www.importpoweronline.com/catalog/images/redpump.jpg The picture shown above is nothing like when you actually see it in person. You can tell by looking at it that its a serious pump. I heard a guy used just one of these in his boat...runs two 350's!
  9. Comeon guys? WHERE ON EARTH can you get a system so complete for our cars? We should have already filled this lot of 6! Just imagine how your car could do with this fully programmable system! Heck I ordered another one..... http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10090/64f9%5B1%5D.jpg In tuning stage! only 50 miles on brand new everything!
  10. Well This monster will flow very high at low boost, I think 15-20(race gas for 20 psi) is good for street, it will flow at least 1000 cfm if not more. The key here is volume not pressure. This turbo can still be very fun at 10 psi.!! http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10090/P1010043.JPG
  11. Started on the first Crank! Well after almost 18 months of downtime, from getting the motor rebuilt and installing new hard lines for the sx1000 fuel pump, hard pipes, and installing the MPI. We finally cranked her up and instantly started. We ran her around the block, very strong and willing to accept the pressure from the 67 trim t4 turbo. More tuning tomorrow. Oh wait a minute...ED we need the software for the controller! http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10090/P1010062.JPG http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10090/P1010064.JPG http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10090/P1010063.JPG
  12. This is for you guys to peek at. We are almost done! More Info coming soon! http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/farshid4iran...500&.src=ph
  13. After one night of searching on ebay and other sites for good deals on some STAGGERED wheels, it looks like the ones that fit the Brembo'd 350Z are the closest fit, even though I still think you'd need spacers just to get it to look nice and tight! The particular one we were talking about earlier in this thread, is made by stern, the most popular of sizes comes as 18's 8.5 front 9.5 rear, which is really good on a 20 ~ 25 mm offset, (only the wheels made for the TRACK 350Z w/ brembos come a bit closer to Starquest's offset, minus the rear becuase u want zero offset for anything bigger than 9" wide. Personally I like to have my front wheels a little tucked in on the front, and the rears perfectly complement the widebody's curves with a Phat lip! But I think You'd still need a ¼" spacer up front and a good 1" spacer for the rear wheels not to mention the coilovers too just to be safe. I particularly like the mustang bullet wheels..Ill knock out the cobra center caps, and just sport that phat lip! That gunmetal/black spoke with polished deep dish would look sooo goood on Starions. I would sport em...
