  3. Just snapped this outside. 28 degrees in Alabama. Jeeeesz http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/shades%20of%20quest/coldquestsDark.jpg
  4. Yeah...and there's a store on ebay selling new replacement antennaes, motor and all(plug and play) for $35. I'm going that route next time I need one.
  5. I don't know what crank pulley flatties used but running a flatty clutch fan on my '88 took the crank pully out eventually because it's pulley is also the harmonic balancer. Also, I never figured out how to "dummy-load" the fan connections so the "pusher" fan would still work with the clutch fan installed. I went back to the electrics.
  6. I don't believe an '89 tan driver's seat that doesn't need recovering exists for sale. If one does, I want it. I have a complete tan interior that I've kept together over the years just in case a driver's seat with no worn out spots turned up.
  7. I appreciate the interest-still replying to "conversations." -chas.
  8. replying to all PMs daily. thanks-chas. p.s. I've owned this car for 8 years. All SQ problems have been addressed over the years. Radiator rodded, fuel pump replaced, gas tank cleaned, fuel filters replaced, tranny and diff.lube replaced. All lights work. I've driven this car on several 900+ mile trips.
  9. Seriously, I'd drive it anywhere. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87RR.jpg 130k showing, 50k on engine with BSE, 10k on non-jet head http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87RF.jpg No leaks except maybe the power steering a little. This car is adult-owned and never been raced or abused. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87LR.jpg No broken glass, new tires http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87LF.jpg Interior is good but some stitching is coming loose. Radio and cassette work http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87Int.jpg Has the necessary mods: 1G mas & blow-off valve, 89 ECU, new rebulit 16G turbo, delphi injectors, downpipe and straight-thru exhaust with chrome resonator(sounds good!) http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/sell87Engine.jpg Car was painted once years ago-Corvette Victory Red and it looks good polished up from about 20 feet away but it's showing some fade close up. $3500
  10. Glad you guys came out of that as well as you did. Too bad you didn't have State Farm Insurance, they could've paid themselves.

  12. Thanks Brian-your code worked great. Reminds me I've still got some flat-headed throttle body screws that belong to you. I'll try to remember to stick them in the mail to your new address. Still running both throttle bodies you did for me years ago. -chas.
  13. Thanks All! Can't buy a $400 item without a discount code!

  16. 2 hours to central AL then drive it anywhere http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee299/chasm2530/shinywhenwet.jpg I call this pic "shiny when wet." The car will shine when dry with some buffing. '87 w/130k. 5 speed. New rebuilt 16G. New tires. 30k on rebuilt engine w/BSE. Non-jet head. Never raced. No rust or bodywork ever. No broken glass. '89 ECU. 1G MAS. Trilogy(Delphi)injectors. Factory radio & cassette work. A.C. needs thermister replaced. Many new A.C. parts installed. I don't need to sell it I just don't have time for it. Would let it go to fellow(or new) starquester. $3500 firm
  17. I ran it. Copied it but it won't paste in a readable format. Get me an e-mail and I'll forward it to you. It is a clean carfax!
  18. Yeah, I missed PF this year, Who knows, the atlantic blue may make it next year. If not, I'll definitelly bring this one.
  19. What you're doing is so cool, the "ground up" thing but that's the only way to pull off a color change and do it right. I lucked out, took mine to a guy I'd been talking to for a while about painting it. I told him I didn't want a show car I just wanted it to look brand new...turned out good.
  20. Thanks MM...I know most of us are kinda burned out on red but these cars are getting rare enough now that even red is rare. The only Quests I see on the road anymore are reflections in store windows with me driving! In the future red will be as rare as the other colors because the red ones get junked FIRST!
