  1. Secondary injector failing possibly, fuel filter plugged, and/or In tank filter plugged
  2. So I've got the clutch and flywheel stuff should be here Friday. Ordered the R154 bellhousing should be here next week sometime. SO once I get the steering linkages and ball joints replaced and the engine bay painted I'll be able to start the assembly and install. Also My wife just a our second baby last weds. so progress has been slow. But we'll get her done
  3. yea I looked into the clutch but for 500 bucks its just the clutch and pressure plate.. i still needed a flywheel as well.. or did the competition set up include a flywheel too?
  4. Got my transmission goodies today. the R154 I bought didnt have a clutch fork or support. so most of this is for the tranny stuff from drift motion I also just referenced all these part numbers with my local toyota dealer online parts site and the toyota dealer was quite a but cheaper. I'd say about 20%
  5. i'm not a big fan of red. But I like that red
  6. if you put a decent amount of clear on you should be able to start at 800 and move up to 1600.. then buff with a buffer... but ask Burton for some tips. he's the paint guy around here
  7. me either. says can take up to 520hp. but I know you cant ever take them for the word with this non brand stuff. i'm just looking for something more affordable. I'm not planning a big power machine right now just come thing to drive daily. I did a best offer and they accepted it. so once I get things installed i'll give feedback on the part
  8. the paint looks good.. are yo planning to wet sand and buff? would probably shine that up real nice and take any orange peel out
  9. this should be good for 350-400hp right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/121125981368
  10. I know Halloween just passed and stuff but dang, talk about resurrecting from the dead
  11. damn... that was fast.. great job
  12. finding a used one for a reasonable amount of money is not easy... I can buy a brand new one through my local toyota dealer for $290 part number 31111-14111 Most used you'll find are around the $250 mark. or more
  13. IMO twin disk set ups are great. but extremely expensive. and not everyone out here has the moolah to buy that set up. if you did offer this bellhousing the 1jz/R154 configuration is readily avail and very reliable. lots of affordable flywheel/ clutch combinations out there good for up to 500 hp and would open your product to more people without unlimited budgets
  14. I was just thinking that would be an awesome combination and wondered if there was a bellhousing out there for it.
  15. How hard was it to get the tranny mounted up.. I have tranny jack, so hopefully make it easier.. also what problems did you have with the clutch install and how did you resolve it
  16. thats the route I was going to take. but if there was a way to slide the whole assembly in without cutting the support and without having to lower the car on the engine.
  17. dont mean to hijack. but you can get the 2jz and r154 together in the car without cutting the support? how? taking the front engine cross member off and lowering the car on the engine? for the peeps that dont have a lift anyway to do it without cutting the radiator support
  18. search the forums for a tps reset.. might need to take it out. clean it and reset it
  19. no reason there shouldnt be a O2 sensor on the stock set up. Heck. even a modified setup is going to have an O2 sensor.. unless the guy moved it more down exhaust if he upgraded to a wideband
  20. http://www.starquestgarage.com/manuals/service/conquest/1988/88_conquest_service_manual_-_group_26_-_electrical.pdf save this to your favorites
  21. I went and got into model airplane flying and wasted a bunch of money of that earlier this year. So once I get some of my planes sold i'll get the bellhousing and clutch ordered up. no rush cause I still have the scrub and paint my engine bay. rebuild my steering box, replace the balljoints and the main steering linkage
  22. just ordered some needed stuff from drift motion to complete this engine and transmission. clutch fork Fork support output shaft seal for R154 clutch release hub kit pressure plate bolt set clutch release bearing R154 bell to trans bolt set and 6061 Aluminum JZ Pulley Kit V2.0 I still need the bellhousing and clutch kit but i'll get that a little later
  23. welcome to the club. looks like you have some background in modifications. looking forward to seeing more
