  1. Thanks 87redcat. I found tristarradiator linked through moyers tank renu. Theres also http://www.surrauto.com/about.html near me
  2. Thanks importwarrior. I have already spoke to Dad and will be purchasing some things from him. Also, he'll be the first to rebuild this engine if/when it needs it. Engine Machine Service is only a little over an hour away. Thanks for the other tips as well.
  3. Thanks guys. The tank might possibly hold liquid, but all the brackets are rusted through. It did have a full tank of gas when I got into it. So far it looks like it will need everything: the pump shelf, pickup tubes, float sender, and filler neck. I got a tank from another member here that is in great shape. http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp234/lowfrq60hz/Conquest/2014-05-17174251-1.jpg
  4. Hello starquestclub. My name is Ken and I am working on a 1987 Conquest for my best friend Cory from growing up. This car was purchased brand new by his dad and was supposed to be Cory's car someday. Cory's dad had Hodgkins and died in 1987. After his dad died, his mom didn't have much of a choice for transportation, so she drove the 'quest. Being a young woman at the time, I can only assume that she probably ran it low on fuel often which I have come to discover is completely awful for these cars and their fuel pumps. The car ran until about 1993? http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp234/lowfrq60hz/Conquest/2014-05-03115809.jpg and she couldn't afford to fix it, so it has been sitting ever since. He's been towing this car from place to place over the years without much of a clue as to where to start on it. In about 2010, he was about ready to abandon it and I took it and put it in my warehouse at work until he could afford to start working on it. Well, the time has come where it can no longer stay since our business is moving to a much smaller space, so I am trying to get it running at least. I feel that my friend should have a chance to drive his dad's car, so here I am, trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle to make this car live again. http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp234/lowfrq60hz/Conquest/2014-05-03115614.jpg What I have is: a good tank, a new fuel pump, and NOS fuel filter strainer. What I'll need begins here: http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp234/lowfrq60hz/Conquest/2014-05-01142808.jpg Thanks in advance for any advice anybody can provide. I think we'll be needing it.
