How many different pistons are there forr the g54b? I have the ones in the motor out of my conquest that are labelled with a 54 T with a slight dish. Then I have a set out of a n/a g54 that are flat top and have a 54 on top. There is a set that was in the back of my car that are the same diameter but have a deeper dish than the others but no labelling. Is there a certain piston that is preferred ?

I am searching for a good block to replace my cracked one. I am in SC not far from Charlotte and am willing to travel a little bit to pick up

These aren't in a scrapyard they are in someone's back yard. I am going to stop by one afternoon this week and see what's up.

A co-worker found a yard near where he lives that has 7-8 Starquest sitting in various states of disrepair. A mix of fatties and flatties. I am going to try to strike up a deal with him to part them out on here. I am hoping he will just let me leave them where they are sitting and get some pics and just part them out from there. If all else fails I will just buy them one at a time and part them one at a time in my drive way. I will keep you all posted...wish me luck.

I think maybe the sensor is just bad...I can move it like it is supposed to be but I cant get good readings.

When I found that I wasn't sure what the stock one looked like. Mine had some kind of custom Mazda hack that doesn't work on it. Thanks for all of the info this forum has helped me out a ton getting pointed in the right direction.

The thought had crossed my mind.

I found 2 vacuum solenoids that had the nipples broken off. One is in the passenger side corner and has only one line connected to it. The other is mounted next to the boost pressure sensor and has 3 hoses that connect to it I think its called the pressure exchange valve or something. Can anyone tell me what these are and where I can find replacements?

I didn't think so but mine didn't come with an OEM tps so I wasn't sure what they looked like.

I was looking around on Rock Auto for some thins that my 86 is missing when I found this listed under TPS http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1981896&cc=1081785 for $13.66. That can't be right...can it?

I started pulling my motor apart today and I found this crack across 2 water passages and 1 head bolt hole. It doesn't go down into the threads and I don't see any sign of water leaks. Opinions?

86 engine wiring harness?

Shipped out the pipes the same day I paid him. Can't ask for more than that!

Have a set of 87-89 injectors that were in my 86. I need to get rid of these so I can buy what I need for my ride. They fire and don't appear to be leaking. SOLD

Ok here is what I have. What I thought were the stock 86 injectors are actually the 87 and up injectors stamped with and L and an M like pcristquester said. I found a box in the trunk that has a rather new pair of injectors from fuelinjectorclinic.com They are etched with 850cc BUT they are quite a bit longer and would require spacers and longer bolts to bolt the fuel rail on.

Are the 86 injectors the same? Mine has a black topped one and a green topped one? I saw someone selling 2 blacked topped ones for an 86 and that got me to wondering about mine. Mine is running stupid rich.

yeah the lights actually come on and stay on

My turn signals will come on and stay on...I have changed the relay out with a new el-12 but it still does it. The hazard flashers work fine. I assumed the relay but now I'm stumped.

Well I went to check compression and timing yesterday. After find 90 lbs. across the board on compression I skipped the timing since it needs a rebuild any way!
