  1. I've been looking up swaps and for awhile and I wanted to do a 302 or ls motor swap in a starion/conquest. But now I saw a 4g63 swap and loved it. But I have a couple questions for the trans and rear end. What have some people do or what would you recommend? I really would like to use the starion/conquest trans mounted to the 4g63 and use the rear end but both would be built up.
  2. O and one more thing it idles a little rough on first start up just because I have the air can off (its a pain in the butt to work around it) the air can comes with the car so you can put it back on or adjust the idle screw.
  3. Hey Guys I have my 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX I'll take $3975.00 firm for it. I just need it gone, wish I had the room for it or a need for it. Its a 5spd, with 87,731 miles as of right now but I drive it once in awhile to get the fluids moving, it's Green exterior, Tan interior, pop up sunroof, factory cd and cassette player, leather seats, ABS, power steering, a/c has been retrofitted to r134a all you need to finish is the a/c belt tensioner and a charge of r134a. Car drives great just has a belt squeak after I took off the old a/c belt, don't know if I put the alternator belt on alittle tight or loose, squeak kind of goes away while sitting at idle. Car comes with but needs to put on, a/c belt, timing belt, balancing shaft belt, water pump, and idler pullies. Replaced the front brakes, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, clutch (with act 2100), condenser, dryer, updated clutch pedal assembly, rebuilt original transmission by Jack's Transmission (1,000 miles on it). Pretty much everything else is stock. Car has tow hitch and wiring harness for it, I never towed with it, I believe the original owner just got it with every option you can with it. Other than the belt squeak, and a/c system to be finished, the antenna mast is broken and the drivers front seat is ripped and headliner is also ripped but both can be reupholstered or replaced, there is a rust hole on the passenger front fender, and a dent on the drivers front fender, normal sun fading and both body side mouldings have fallen off but I've seen other eclipses with them completely off and they look better. Please email for more info at robert.aldape902@gmail.com Pictures can be seen here on my autotrader add and if you go down a little bit and to the side theres a carfax to comfirm the mileage. http://www.autotrade...ingId=323249205
  4. Thats why I would to try a different rwd car. The bmw was a 94 so it weighed about 5000 lbs plus me and gas. So not only did it handle like crap and waste gas. On top of that ot couldnt get out of the drive way when it had 3inches of snow, while my 320hp vr4 went through no problem. I also have a 1991 eclipse gsx woth 87xxx miles on it that would be for sale soon.
  5. Hi I'm Rob and im kind of new to the starions and conquests. I was going to get one for my very first car but I ended up with a Galant VR-4, which I still have till this day, just not running. Anyways Ill be on the look out for a fiji blue one, dont know if they came in that color in 86 but would like a 86. Plans would be to drop a 302 in it, which looks like theres a couple guys out there that have done it, and make it a track car. Questions I have is what to look out for? Are they known to rust any where? Also I'm a big fan of AWD so RWD is going to be different. The only thing I had RWD was a BMW 740il but I hated and got rid of it after 8 months for a AWD.
