I just found this 88' conquest tsi 5-spd on craigslist Im thinking of buying it, I talk to the owner he said it currently doesn't have a head on it apparently the old head had cracked which makes me believe the car had overheated and had some other kind of issue possible BHG and it comes with a new head and gaskets, the block is suppose to be in good shape and of course a compression test or leak-down test will tell me everything but with no head on there im just taking his word sure the owner said it will run once head has been replaced and is covered from condensation for the winter. the owner wants $900 for the car and there is no front bumper also he told me it has a mighty max rear-end which is a popular swap he said and some other aftermarket parts like fuel injectors and a turbo timer. I don't know very much about these cars Im wondering is the car worth getting, Im all for a new project but I might need to let one of my talons go to make room for it. I might go look at it soon is there anything else I should ask about or look for I would imagine a front bumper is hard to find especially in Alaska i've only seen 1 or 2 conquest and i know of a 4g63 swap in a starion but other wise these cars are not on the road up here very much even in the summer lots of 240's, 300zx's and rx-7's but no starquest. thanks
